Perhaps the following scenario: Two straight men are buddies, but for some reason they need to pose as man & wife. Maybe a 'Bossom Buddies' (an old TV sitcom) type situation, where they have the chance for a great deal on apartment in an expensive city, but the the low cost apartment is only for married couples, not singles. Anyway, one of the guys is a little bit shorter and more slender. It turns out he looks quite good in a dress. As time passes, he fits more and more into role of the 'wife'. And the more feminine he becomes, the more his friend and 'husband' becomes sexual attracted to him. Eventually, they realize that they are falling in love.
Things come to ahead when their landlord discovers (or thinks he discovers) their secret: they are sleeping in separate bedroom and are not really married (he has no idea that they are actually both men). The landlord gives them and ultimatum: either get married for real or move out.
From that point on, we follow the wedding preparations of these two formerly straight men, as they become man and wife and discover the pleasures of physically consumating their love.

a young well to do unmarried couple- male is a crossdresser. Girl supports his hobby.
They go to some foreign country on vacation. Male has always had a fantasy of being a bride, so girl decides to make his fantasy come true and schedules a faux wedding- ceremony, hall, reception-complete with guests, and a local actor who agrees to be the "groom". Guy loves the idea and jumps in with both feet. During preparations male has to sign a bunch of papers; he doesn't read them carefully.
During the reception the "bride" learns they are in a country that allows same sex marriages, and he is really married to the groom! The groom is an old fasioned type male who feels his bride is his to do with as he pleases. Insists on taking his "wife" home for their wedding night, and consumating their marriage.
