Voice change surgery in the transsexual.

Sexual reassignment surgery for individuals with gender identity confusion has been highly successful, especially in the male-to-female transformation. A troublesome problem for some of these individuals is the retention of their male voice. Although castration and estrogen therapy may produce minor elevations of pitch and the assumption of a falsetto voice produces a more typical but contrived female tone, the basic male anatomic structure of the larynx must be altered to effect a physiological transformation. In three transsexuals, an attempt was made to effect a more female tonal quality by shortening the vibrating length of the vocal folds. Through a laryngofissure, the anterior one third of each cord was denuded and the raw edges approximated. This produced an anterior web that successfully resulted in pitch elevation in all three cases.

Voice therapy with the aim of raising a client's fundamental frequency is a common practice in the reassignment of male-to-female transsexuals. In female-to-male transsexuals on the other hand voice therapy is usually not considered since the administration of androgens is assumed automatically to change the voice in the direction of the desired sex. The present study examined whether the voice change in female-to-male transsexuals is indeed as straightforward as it is assumed. Results from a sample survey involving 16 female-to-male transsexuals and longitudinal data from two clients suggest that the voice change in female-to-male transsexuals is not always totally unproblematic. A voice assessment and some counselling before the hormone therapy are recommended.

A guy has a sex transformation, because he is attracted to men. His dad found out that he was guy and kicked him out of the house never to return. His father denies the son of his inheritence.

The guy returns as a woman and seduces his father into an affair. She cons her father out of everything.

The mother finds out that the woman her husband is having an affair with is their son. The mother threatens to expose her son....

Original for sure. I once had an idea where a woman pulls a Lorena Bobbitt on her hubby, only to have him return years later, as a woman, and exact a bloody revenge on her. I don't know if that would be permissible on Lit, though.

I assume you meant his father found out he was gay. Sounds like an interesting, though somewhat implausible, storyline. If you do it in an over the top way where any absurd thing is presented as plausible, it could be a fun read.
