So who should be left in your vision of these United States? How many ‘citizens’ should the United States actually include? 5M? 5,000? 5? And what to do with all those who don’t make the cut?
In normal times, your formula would be dismissed as a joke. Or a crackpot remark. But these are not times as usual. More, there is quite literally nothing that should be put past people. So I’d like you to make an honest stab at the questions.
At some point, it must be recognized that the United States as it existed in history effectively passed from existence. I could be wrong about this. But it seems to me that the present trajectory indicates a desire to depart from and scrap the past, and begin a Second Republic under the name of the first.
