I found this song on youtube and fell in love with it. It is one of the most beautiful ones I have ever heard, I bet I have listened to it at least 20 time this morning. I tried searching for the translated lyrics , but to no avail. Are there any Italians here that can? BTW, I did find some, but it sounds like they were translated useing google. Here is the song..........

Wish I could help you Rolando. Am I.A and my regret is that I never pushed my folks to teach me the language. Am interested in anything to do with italy of course, and have had a bit of success using google to translate. Anyway, molto gracie for exposing me to this tune which I will quickly forward on to a bunch of kinfolk.
Si prende cura you take care.

Kind of a lot to translate:

Non so aspettarti piú di tanto
Ogni minuto mi dà
L'istinto di cucire il tempo
Di portarti di qua.

Un materasso di parole
scritto apposta per te
E ti direi spegni la luce
che il cielo c'è.

(Coro)
Stare lontano da lei,
non si vive
stare senza di lei,
mi uccide.

Testa dura, testa di rapa
vorrei amarti anche qua:
nel cesso di una discoteca,
sopra al tavolo di un bar.

Lostare nudi in mezzo a un campo
a sentirsi addosso il vento
io mi chiedo più di tanto
che se muoio son contento.

(Coro)
Stare lontano da lei,
non si vive
e stare senza di lei,
mi uccide.

Caaanzoone
cercala se vuoi,
diiiiille
che non mi perda mai.

Vaaa, per le strade tra la gente
diiiiglielo veramente.

Io i miei occhi dai tuoi occhi
non li staccherei mai,
adesso anzi me li mangio
tanto tu non lo sai.

Occhi di mare e sensa scogli,
il mare sbatte su di me,
che ho sempre fatto solo sbagli
ma uno sbaglio che cos'è?

(Coro)
Stare lontano da lei,
non si vive
e stare senza di lei ,
mi uccide.

Caaaanzoone
trovala se vuooi,
dille che l'aaaamo,
se lo vuoi.

Vaaa per le strade tra la gente
diiiglielo veramente,
non può restare indifferente
e se rimane indifferente non è lei.

(Coro)
Stare lontano da lei,
non si vive
e stare senza di lei,
mi uccide.(x2)

Google tries, I've changed bits of it):

I do not expect much time
Every minute I get
The instinct of sewing time
To take you out of here.

A mattress of words (I think the metaphor works better in Italian!)
written just for you
And I would say turn off the lights
that the sky is there.

(Chorus)
(to stay away from her
is not living,
to be without her
is killing me)

Hard-headed, head of kale (not sure how this works in English)
I would love you here too:
in the toilet of a nightclub,
on top of a table in a bar.

Lost naked in the middle of a field
him to feel the wind
I wonder too much
I'm glad that if I die.

(Chorus)
Stay away from her,
not live
and being without her,
killing me.

Caaanzoone
look it up if you want,
diiiiille
I do not ever lose.

go into the streets among the people
say it to me, truly.

I draw my eyes from your eyes
not wanted to drive ever,
even now I eat them
so you do not know.

Eyes and a sense of sea cliffs,
the sea throws at me,
I've always done just wrong
but what a mistake?

(Chorus)
Stay away from her,
not live
and being without her,
killing me.

Caaaanzoone
if you find her,
Tell her that I love her,
if you want.

Go into the streets among the people
say it truly
can not remain indifferent
and if she is not indifferent.

(Chorus) (see above)
Stay away from her,
not live
and being without her,
killing me. (x2)

Sorry I don't have time for much more!

WOW! Thanks! Hey, I was wondering about those phrases also, "toilet of a night club?" Must mean something different in Italian. Oh well, it really don't make any difference, Its still a beautiful song, I love the Italian version best anyway, I was just curious. Thanks again!

I think "toilet of a night club" is referring to the entire restroom. I think the implication is the intensity of emotion is so strong that they don't want to wait to get home to make love - in the club restroom or on the table in a bar is fine because the urgency demands it.

Just a guess, I don't speak Italian. I do like Pizza Hut though.

The head of kale part is probably cabbage-head, an insult meaning someone is stupid/naive. The narrator seems throughout to be characterizing himself as a peasant/farmer/simple guy.

Ah, in British English the toilet of a nightclub would be what you call the whole restroom . . . I think he is saying that his lust for her is so strong he doesn't care where he has her.

Funny that the translation fell down a bit over british/american english differences!

Ah yes! I couldn't think what the translation should be, maybe here we would say turnip head, basically it refers to a vegetable that mostly would be animal food.
