I heard a train in the distance, but I don't think you did.

I didn't.

It's extremely quiet in my neighborhood as we back to a national forrest. All I hear are the frogs in the neighbor's pond.

I hear trains when the wind is right. The track's a couple miles away.

Marxist, You're weird... but I like your AV.

It's not as bad here but I use to live maybe a half a mile from the tracks. Trains at 3 in the morning can be quite annoying sometimes.

It was weird, I was lying there naked and it startled me. But not you. It didn't register for you.

I miss trains( I lived about 100 yards from the tracks until I was almost 8 )

Now I live among the trees & it's very quiet, with one exception. There's only one home in this neighborhood that doesn't have a dog. Anyone goes anywhere on foot, & the dog network announces it. Crime has been negligible over the years, I'm told.

I live relitavly close to the main train yard for the southern part of my state, so I hear trains about every fifteen minutes. It get anoying when your trying to study..

Late at night, about two a.m., I can hear the train that winds around the edge of Puget Sound about a mile and a half away. A train in the distance to some, is a call to the imagination, or reflect why you're not on that train. I do that with aircraft flying over. :D

Trains--Jill Sobule

Tie me to the track with my ear to the rail
But wait for the very last moment to save me
Or we could fight on top like a western
Jump from car to car
Not noticing the tunnel is approaching
And when we’re in the tunnel
You become another person
And we lay down and let the darkness enfold us
Trains I wish I was on that train
I wish I was on that train with you
Trains something about a train that always makes
Me think of you
On the Peking to Paris, you’re a scultor I’m an heiress
I’m running from my husband, you’re running from the law
But there’s agents at the border so I hide you in my cabin
Of course I let you spend the night not knowing who you are
And when I let you out you become another person
And we lay down and let the darkness enfold us
Trains I wish I was on that train
I wish I was on that train with you
Trains something about a train that always makes me
Think of you, think of you
Wish I was on that train
Wish I was on that train
Wish I was on that train with you
We’re two hobos on the box car, you and your five o’clock shadow
Me and my harmonica and a duffel on a stick
Or you’re a soldier coming back from war
I’m the lover waiting on the platform
So steamy you’re not sure it’s me waving
And when I close my eyes you become another person
And we lay down and let the darkness enfold us

I saw a Ho Train earlier today. It didn't make a whole lotta noise though.

Come & ride da train...choo choo ride it...

To be clear, the train I mentioned above was the railroad kind, not the Ho kind.
