I thought it might be useful to keep track of the changes the publishing process makes to what is submitted. There was some unfortunate formatting in a story recently that I could have avoided if only I'd known it wouldn't look like it did in Preview.

If you have found something, it would be nice if you posted it here.

1) En dashes are replaced with double hyphens, which is probably never what is wanted.

2) Ellipses are replaced with triple periods. This seems innocuous.

3) (New Beta UI) Blockquote no longer indents, rendering it indistinguishable from ordinary text.

Did you try to be book designer fancy with your formatting instructions? If so, just don't. The file here is a rolling anthology. Its format should be uniform across the file. Don't try to get fancy with what Literotica already provides for format--which is very basic.

No. I didn't. The only "fancy" formatting was the blockquote...which worked up until the new Beta UI was introduced. It still works if you switch back the old UI.

INeat N' Naked 0ost on five or six sites. Only one offers the author the opportunity to format the stories, about the same level of control as in this forum, but for the stories.

I think the stories are so much more visually interesting when formatting is used, sparingly.

That site also has a much more modern look and allows users customization options as well as the ability to download a pdf of the story, and prevents people from copying and pasting story text making it harder to steal other authors' work.

But they are much stricter on their posting policy. Editing must be almost perfect, and noncon is a no go there, but you can use 16-year-olds in stories.

The reason I post on different sites are
1 different rules allow me to write stories that others won't let me post. Every site has a story that only that site will let me post, based on their rules.
2 Greater exposure as an author since I am setting up my own authors site.
