For instance, your post suggests that you already have some toys; if that's the case, what have you tried, and which types and/or features do you enjoy or not enjoy so much? As for where to shop, most online retailers are about the same, save for pricing. All places that want repeat business ship in plain packaging with a fuzzy return address and name on your credit card statement. Some have far better customer service than others, but you usually have to pay dearly for it. Adam & Eve is the only site I know of that offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee, which could be a huge plus if you're unsure of what you like and/or are purchasing expensive toys. Hell, I've even done extremely well with the Adult/Mature section of eBay in the past (if you do check there, limit buying to sellers who have tons of sales and very high feedback scores with excellent reviews). Regardless of where you buy, always make sure you investigate the shipping charges beforehand - quite a few retailers have very low prices, but then jack up the shipping & handling charges, which makes them more expensive than others.

Personally, I always find the toy I want to buy first, then I price shop the total prices for comparable products. I don't care where I buy as long as I get the best overall price (including shipping and any extras) and the retailer is legit. The one exception would be if I were buying a very expensive toy or something that was kind of pricey and I was really unsure of, as I mentioned - then I'd definitely want Adam & Eve's satisfaction guarantee. However, I usually don't find higher priced toys to be worth it for me as a consumer (there's often kind of a "sweet spot" for prices on toys), so I may always stick to price shopping.

I can definitely echo this. You can often get toys for cheaper if you shop around. Some of the reputable sites definitely have jacked up prices. I actually like going directly through the manufacturers a lot of the times, I've signed up to mailing lists and say, Tantus will introduce a new toy and have a code for a discount. If you really want to jack up your collection, I can't suggest shopping around and adding sites to a mailing list enough. Coupons make those 100 dollar toys much more palatable when you can get it for 30% off and have a return policy.

Amazon just doesn't have these benefits.
