18, went into a sex toy store I'd passed many times before I turned 18 and was allowed in.

Let's say 18 (Cos I have too)
Started off using my mums (without her knowledge obviously) Same time as I started using veggies etc and eventually got my first own toy (simple white vibrator), then got a second, then a third, then a .......... LOL
Great fun and still is.

Certainly sounds very similar.
Yes deodorant cans were another oft used toy too LOL (Impulse in particular!)
Hairbrushes too...the handle not the bristle end obviously LOL
