One of My favorite toy shops is owned and run by a gay Master in a long term BDSM relationship. Many of the items He stocks are hand made in Sweden, I have grown accustomed to the good quality and ease of custom ordering.

The moment I enter this shop I feel as though I have come home. The ambience is serious and helpful with a touch of dry humour. No subject is left untouched from screw in butt plugs to the latest in custom made harnesses for the strap on.

I often take new Dominants to shop here and it is not unusual to spend several hours discussing the pros and cons of each item. It is a rush for Me just entering the leather filled erotica of Master craftsmen.

Damn...why did I start this thread...now I want to go shopping!

Two weeks ago I took a new Domme to pick up a few of the basics She will enjoy and couldn't stop Myself from adding to My collection. A lovely leather mitt set that zippers on as well as belts at the wrists with a leather thong between the ends of the mitts to allow the hands to be double bound.

The first time I went into our local bdsm store I was terrified! I opened that door not knowing what to expect.
But once I went inside I was like a kid in a candy store! The staff probably got sick and tired of my "Oooooo what's that?" questions.

Those I take to these shops for their first time seem to have the same reaction you had...scared..or even embarrassed for a moment or two but once they realize no one really thinks it is so unique to see them there the questions begin to rock and roll!

I have many floggers..

I have a heavy 8oz royal blue one.

We have several bdsm shops here. There are a few I haven't been to though.

Downtown Forbidden fruits has a store with a lot of sex toys and such, yet you have to buy harnesses and toys seperately because of the sodomy laws here. Which makes things more expensive. It sucks. This store has locally made restraints and some other pretty cool stuff. They pride themselves in being one of the few places in the state where you can purchase a violet wand.

Then there other store across town is a corsett store. They have a better selection of implements as well. Ranging from paddles of all sorts to ticklers.

One of the actual sex shops has some wicked looking paddles with metallic sand paper on one side... owie?

Shadowsdream, this is a great thread. Question tho, I was thinking of maybe a thread to describe our toys and things. There are so many that I have no clue what they are or what they are used for. Do you think that's something people would want on here? I was going to start one when I saw this thread....didn't want you to think I was copying you.

Just a thought for consideration.

There are several toy stores nearby. Two in the town where I live. A big one about 1/2 hour away, and a HUGE one about an hour away!

I guess there are more perverts in Connecticut than I thought!
