I read old ethernet posts as a hobby, I love history and I love computer science and it's certainly ... sociological interesting.

All those toxic traits and the whole alpha, old money aristocratic sweeping off her feet bullshit is also pretty prevalent in the Harry Potter fanfiction universe sadly. I didn't even know what omega and alphas were, only learnt last year. ;o
