This thread was going to be all about listing your all time top ten musical numbers, but I found it harder to write down my favourites than I thought it would be. Everytime I put a song down, I remembered another one that was better.

So instead, I'd like to see your favourite top three of all time, the answers might be interesting. Also, if you name three tracks and later remember a better one, place a number at the bottom of your post, to show how many times you changed your mind.

I'm still thinking about my third track, so I'll put mine in at a later date.

Imagine - Lennon
Wooden Heart - Presley
True Love Ways - Buddy Holly

Here's mine, but I'll probably change one or two in the course of time, my memory sucks. lol

Almaz - Randy Crawford
Affirmation - Savage Garden
The Living Years - Mike & the Mechanics

Carl

Music of the Night (from Phantom of the Opera) - Andrew Lloyd Weber

Free In You - Indigo Girls

This Moment - Melissa Etheridge

(Based entirely on my mood at the moment. Subject to change as the winds shift.)

Cold Cold Ground by Tom Waits
Great Lake by Joe Henry
Harvest Moon by Neil Young

Song to the Siren - This Mortal Coil

Couldnt Love you More - John Martyn

If This Is Love - Spiller

Behind Blue Eyes- The Who
All Along the Watchtower- Hendrix
White Flag - Ditto

Those have to be the best. I'm showing my age, but I love those songs. lol

Whole of the Moon- the Waterboys

Drive_ the Cars (I want this one played at my funeral)

Come Rain or Come shine- Sarah Vaughan

Black Coffee- Peggy lee

1. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen. Freddy Mercury was a musical genius, and this song shows such a range.

2. Pride and Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughan - I never, ever get tired of his music, but if I had to pick one song, this would be it.

3. Soul Singing - the Black Crowes - such a joy-filled song, it never fails to make me smile when I hear it.

“Etude” from The Killing Field by Mike Oldfield.

"Main Titles” from Blade Runner by Vangelis.

“Tienshan” from Silk Road Suite by Kitaro & London Symphony Orchestra.

Three songs I can listen to over and over again, and never get tired of them.

American Pie... Don McLean. just beautiful.

Hotel California... Eagles.

Unchained Melody... Righteous Brothers.

Queen would have been in the top 5 though. I love Bohemian Rhapsody.

Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau sung by forty thousand voices in the crowd at the Arms Park.
In Paradisum from Fauré's Requiem.
The Creed in the setting by Gretchaninov, preferably sung by Pavlenko with the choir of the Church of the Metropolitan of Paris.

RamJam - Black Betty
Hot Action Cops - In A Little While
Daniel Bedingfield - I Can't Read You

I wanna change my number two lol

Bohemian Rhapsody is my fave piano piece, but I get tired of hearing it (repetition).

Seal - Crazy is my number two.

Has anyone else found it hard to remember all the songs you used to adore, I know I have. I love most of the records selected so far, most of which I'd forgotten about. lol

Carl

Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple

Unchained Melody- Righteous Brothers

Leaving On A Jet Plane - Mama's and the Papa's

I Can't Help Falling In Love With You - Elvis

There are so many favorites on my list but these are the top 4 that I'd listen to every time.

Wicked:kiss:

Oh Fortuna (or almost all of The Missa Luba)

Walking in Memphis (Cher's version)

A Grand Don't Come For Free (title track of Streets album)

These are all subject to instant change at any time.

1. Agadoo - Black Lace
2. Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini - Timmy Mallet version
3. My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion

Shocky

With a P.S. from Lou: says a lot about her, doesn't it? :D

I just can't do this! Every time I think of a song, or three, I think of a couple dozen others that I like equally. If I put down my three favorite songs I won't agree with myself in a few minutes.
