Calico cats are mean in general.
My wife (and I'll stress it is her cat) has one and it constantly is going after our German shepherds.
Fortunately for her, she's been around since they were puppies and they just sort of seem to roll their eyes and leave her alone. I'm waiting for either one of them to lose it on her or when they do occasionally chase her, she misses a jump to a high piece of furniture and they use her as a chew toy.

I used to have a couple of these little guys (the feline variety, not the ursine variety). The neighbour’s Rottweiler quickly learned that he had to be on his best behaviour if he was to avoid injury.

We had a calico before we got the terrorier. At first it smacked the puppy around. Later they played together. But when the calico got old and cranky(er) and the terrorier grew up the dominance roles reversed--seriously. Even calico cats know better than to mess with terriers. They're quite mad.
