Total Newb Question

I have been trying to figure out how to get the First Name / Last Name thing to work. I did a search on these boards, but it didn't come up with anything.

Does anyone here know how to allow users to enter a first and last name, then use those in the story?

Not to tough

It's not too tough to do. There used to be a nice explanation of it somewhere but I can't find it.

Here is the Cliff Notes version:

When ever you want to put in a name use the following format exactly like this, all caps, no deviations and it will sub in the names from the front page of the story,


{FIRST_NAME} or {LAST_NAME}

If you do it upper and low it won't work. If you use parens instead of brackets it won't work. It is kind of hard to write with as it is awkward to use, but I usually put the {FIRST_NAME} on my clipboard so I can copy it in the story when I want.

Hello,
I always love stories that allow for a first and last name. I wish Chyoo would implement a feature that states whether or not it's a MALE or FEMALE name that is needed. I always laugh when the chick in the story has a name like Steve. Or the guy has a name like Alice! LOL.

My story "A College girl to be..." uses the first and last name text. If you'd like to check it out, feel free. Just know that the first and last name required is MALE.
