Water is gone, thank goodness. Thanks, everyone.

Hubby and I took the day off. The only thing wet is clothes, but we had quite a few baskets down there waiting to go (they did no laundry when I was gone and I had my stuff there, too).

But first? We tossed another load in, we need detergent and bleach and I think breakfast.

The more laundry we get up off the floor the more we realize it seems to be about a ten foot area that was completely drenched.

But, since we had laundry there it prevented the water from traveling further.

Good thing for Chicago laundry (and the fact that hubby and kids left piles there).

I hope we can do the laundry here rather than go to a laundromat, but for right now we're quite encouraged.

The silver lining emerges. Glad it wasn't too bad.

I'm glad it ended up not being a disaster for you. Wet clothes can always be laundered but other wet belongings are not so easily fixed.
