Tornado central.....

It was a helluva night but we made it through!

I am so happy you made it through Ok my friend :rose:

The lightning, thunder, winds and rain were really spectacular. If I was younger I would have enjoyed it much more. Now that I know there's a possibility of not living forever it was a bit scarier. Stll hung out on the porch for a lot of it but was ready to beat a quick path to the basement if I had to :)

I totally understand what you mean. I love watching storms but always keep the reality of the danger in my mind.

It was a dark and stormy night. :D

But today it's just grey and cooler. No loss of power, no hail, just some big thunderstorms. I saw tungtied posting elsewhere this morning so I know he's fine, too. He was not far from some bad storms. They lifted our tornado watch at 5 am.

I hate this time of year. I always make sure I'm wearing clothing to bed in case we have to make a mad dash to the storm cellar. Last year we got hit hard, I hope this year is better.

Well Image, you know I would have rode up with my trusty steed to rescue you.

Do you happen to know if a trusty steed can outrun a tornado...?....;)

Watching it on the news, it is surreal. It was such a beautiful day here, that I spent at a wine festival but only a few hundred miles away it's a disaster.

It wouldn't matter. I don't do horses...

In any sense of the word :)

I can't imagine what it must be like, I'm looking at the devastation and my heart breaks. So glad you're all safe, long may it last.

I'm good.

It was a rough night.

I live only 892kms away from the heart of that storm.

I'm happy to be alive.

It got windy here and a gutter came lose from the house. We were contacted by the Today show to tell our story but we said no, we have to focus on rebuilding our lives.

While I was reading your guys' posts about the deadly storms, I almost forgot I was supposed to leave money out for the cleaning lady tomorrow.

We're all Ok, but still. One of those, "stop and smell the roses" moments.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Your family and gutter will be in my prayers.
