Torg - about my story..

My story, "Breaking Inhibitions," now lists you as the main author, Torg.

I know I haven't had a chance to write anything for it in a while, but several of the submitting authors have been put on Trusted status so they can submit if I don't show up to okay threads for a few days, and I do check chyoo as often as I'm able.

Could I have my story back, please?

Whoops...
It still says I'm the creator. It just says "by: Torg" on the Story Map. That's not quite so big a deal, though I'd prefer it was changed back.

I hate to say this... but... I had a feeling this would happen. I knew eventually taking stories that weren't yours would lead to the original owner losing his work. I agreed with every other idea the new mods had, but I don't like this one.

To be honest, I am always in fear of losing my work if I leave it idol for too long. Perhaps there should be some sort of time-limit before a story goes up for "auction" so to speak.

While I appreciate your concern in this area I don't think it would be losing your work as you are still clearly identified as the created by person. Every writer has an editor and they don't consider it losing their work if an editor changes or improves their idea. The think the ability to renew some old and completely abandoned stories outweighs the concerns related to "losing the work". If anyone shows up they will get back their right to edit the story at once!! Just like what happened when Mirrors2 showed back up. Personally I am glad he is back as I have added to breaking inhibitions but had not for a while because I new the threads would not be approved.

The only other choice is to just delete dead stories so people don't try to add to them. The deadwood makes the site seem abandoned and no one wants to add to a story that their thread never gets approved on.

Of course, most writers are told in advance that their work is going to be edited...

I don't have a problem with anything that happened - I just wanted to make sure I was kept in the loop. Of course, if someone else had taken over the story, then said I couldn't have it back, well...

By the way, please add threads to my story if you want to, by all means! I'd love for "Breaking Inhibitions" to have some new stuff added, but it's going to be a while before I have the time to actually write anything myself. I like what you've written already, Jakelyon, so please feel free to write as much as you'd like for it....
