Or the "my sister is psychic" thread.

Just before the show began last night, my sister and I were debating the usual "Isn't John Barrowman hot", when she said "Yeah but Jack and Ianto would be hotter."

Lo and Behold...

So I asked her to predict Jack/Gwen/Ianto next week. Just so I can die a happy girl.

BUT enough of my nummy fantasies (which may well result in a Celeb fic), what are your opinions on the show?

Haven't seen the latest one as I get them off t'internet. I have to say that I'm kinda impressed by the series so far, although I personally think it'd be better if they had Scheherazade as a guest star, like in her dream. She'd have Gwen's knickers down before she got out a lilting Welsh syllable.

Given a choice, I'd actually choose Tosh over Gwen. Bit more character to her appearance.

Never heard of it. A Doctor Who spinoff or something? Would be too peculiar a name otherwise.

Mmmmm John Barrowman -he's the reason I decided to watch the series as I am really not a fan of Doctor Who.

I've eally enjoyed the sries so far, though. Except Countrycide which I thought was a bit crap really. This weeks episode is a craker!

Yeah Countrycide's ending made me go, huh? Oh, ok.

Liar - Yes, and well worth a watch / *download*

The whole episode left me a little bit "Meh." The only thing I liked about it was the progression of Ianto and the fact that Lisa got referenced. I was worried that they were just gonna forget about that.

Loved the bit in the telepathy episode where Tosh read's Ianto's thoughts. Dark, dour, miserable and in continuous pain, but all that comes out on the outside is, "I'm about to brew some coffee; would you like some?"

Not seen the most recent episode, so blanked spoilers if you could?

Defintely "Meh."

the telepathy episode was another good one -lots of character development -I'm a big fan of that :)

I shall spoil not your enjoyment of this weeks episode Earl love

I'm totally addicted to this show... to the extent that I'm thinking of buying a poster of Gwen outside the Millennium Centre and getting it framed  They don't do a calendar, but if they did I'd buy that, too.

Have you checked out the Torchwood website? It's absolutely awesome! :D

Ick. Too many spoilers here. I've got it on backburner now, but I've got other things to do, and watch. I'm out.

Doctor Who = torchWooD. Yes a spinoff that I didn't know was back. I love it, very Doctor Who without the Dr.

The writing, as with the new Dr Who series (in whatever form) is quality but they still manage to retain the 'amateurishness' of the production whilst keeping the 'technicality' of production at a high level. Kitch probably covers it. (If I knew how to spell it)

You know Mary, the alien who seduced Tosh last week? Does anyone here think they would have been able to resist her, because I sure as hell wouldn't...

I absolutely adore the lesbian moments that have taken place on this series so far :catroar: This is my favourite TV programme of all time! Wednesday night is the highlight of my week, because I have a smoke on the beach with my best friend, then go back to his nan's house to watch Torchwood . 48 hours to go! :nana:

One of the sexiest women I have seen on screen for ages. She could have ripped my heart out if she'd let me shag her first! She's in My Family and Deadenders apparently...

Shade over the writing to reveal spoilers

I've seen the latest episode and have to say that I loved it all apart from the very end. Yes, I thought Jack/Ianto (Janto?) was obscene and perverse for reasons not beloved by Litizens. This guy, who last week was in agonies over his dead girlfriend, propositions his boss for nookie with a flippant line about a stopwatch? What. The. Hell. I know that the writers are keen to get every character as multisexual as they can, but that was character-breaking and appalling. Thoroughly unimpressed.

Plus, what the hell can you do with a stopwatch?! I count myself as having an admirably dirty mind and yet I cannot think of any innuendo or sexual perversion that would involve a stopwatch!

Ugh! Character-breaking writing drives me spare, especially with such great characters.

Earl -escapism? A little bit of feeling in a numb life? I can see it, he's heart broken -yes, but time is passing and who knows how long those two have been playing games for? I think it might be an in for more character discovery and I love watching watching characters develop.

you should put a warning on your post though -scheh hasn't seen it yet.

Just shaded out the spoilers. Sorry Scheh!

More spoily-goodness: Can anyone think of anything sexual you can do with a stopwatch?

Reply to spoily stuff : erm, time stuff. Maybe see who can go the longest without moaning/groaning/coming. Does the stopwatch have a long chain? the long chain could be stimulating ;) that's all I've got. :p

Are there any DoctorWho fans watching TOrchwood -what do they think?

I don't like Doctor who, especially not the recently done ones and only watched Torchwood for Barrowman -but I think now I enjoy it for more than just the eye candy :D

I'm a new Doctor Who fan (I've never seen the old ones and, frankly, they hold no interest for me) and I'm still unsure about Torchwood. The plots are a tiny bit formulaic at times (a member of the team has their private life intrude on their work and they end up doing something disloyal that has dire consequences), but the characterisation is generally excellent, which is always a good thing. That's why the spoiler pissed me off so much, as he was chirpy, flirtatious and, dare I say it, gay (in the old-fashioned way). Given that his methods of coping have so far been moping in a very quiet and reserved fashion, it felt far too OOC.

Yes, I think the Character development sells it to me too, the plots can be a little obvious, a bit "sci-fi cliche" but the do tend to have a bit of an unusual twist, so I can forgive them.

I can see what you mean, but I can see why he could do something so out of character too (Mourning people often do out of character things)

I've been enjoying it, probably my favourite episode so far was the fairies one, cant remember the title, and as for the recent one with the device that lets the wearer hear everyones thoughts, well I can understand how it could drive you totally insane...

Reply to the spoilery question:
Okay - I only have a few ideas for the stopwatch
The obvious, which I think has already been mentioned - timing.
You could chill it... cold can definitely be stimulating, with the right application.
Or, dip it in something runny, like chocolate syrup, and swing it pendulum style, and see where the drips land. Of course, then you have to clear them up...
Depending on the stopwatch, if it has a lid/cover, it could be used to apply gentle nipping pressure.
And if it's engraved, there could be enough texture to be interesting (if the person had sensitive skin anyway)

I'll stop there... the fact I can come up with that many things is slightly worrying...
