North Carolina GOP apologizes after mistakenly attacking Kaine for 'shameful' Marine pin that honored his son

When Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Tim Kaine addressed the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Wednesday night, the North Carolina GOP thought it quickly spotted something wrong.

“[Tim Kaine] wears a Honduras flag pin on his jacket but no American flag,” the state party tweeted as he was speaking. “Shameful.”

There was one problem: Kaine’s pin, which had a single blue star on a white background bordered with red, wasn’t the flag of Honduras, where he spent a year as a missionary decades ago. It was the symbol for Blue Star Families, or those with members serving in the military.

The willingness to hate and look for every confirmation bias from you wretched fucks is both undeniable and palpable.

Was the apology accepted?

That is immaterial.

The willingness to hate is at issue. That fact that an apology was necessary is at issue. The fact that the loyal opposition is no longer loyal is at issue.

Of course it is.

Because you are such a nice guy I will explain to you WHY it is immaterial.

The assertion that the father of a Marine, a sitting Senator of the United States and one of the more informed persons in the country with respect to foreign affairs would wear the flag of Honduras on his lapel while addressing the country is hateful, asinine and evidence of the complete and total disrespect for the country and evidence of a lack of understanding of who Kaine is and how he has been instrumental in being effective at a time of massive gridlock in the Senate.

This is not an honest mistake worthy of an apology. This is the hate-filled apotheosis of you and your brethren's inability to reason.

Right. Some insignificant idiot tweeted/facebooked/whatever an erroneous assertion. Some Jimmy Olsen did some fact checking and found out it was erroneous, for which they are expecting a Pulitzer Price nomination I suppose.

The day after tomorrow no one will remember, or care. It's as significant as a fart in a windstorm.

Which is why you've desperately posted in this thread three times in "not caring," trying to play off a massive intellectual fail by one of your glee club masters, who'd be stroking and nutting all over the place had their "gotcha" actually hit.

Underguy1 (a highly knowledgeable poster) said once that americans have been brainwashed. And that their "R-wingers" are in fact far Right-wingers, and their so-called "liberals" are Right-wingers.

I tend to agree. Adding to that:
Imo, american "libs." are completely unaware of it, and of the fact that their so-called "liberal" mantra is in fact a concealed form of communism-collectivism.

Whereas "R-wingers" are quite aware of who they are, and are honest about it.

The liberals that I met IRL acted in a different way.

Good point.

This too:

We are reverse engineering Toki Pona.

As people read less, they are using fewer words (and maybe even fewer concepts) and making each word mean so much more, but the downside is that every phrase is then unintentionally vague...

When he/she/it called me a racist, did they mean the philosophy of racism, bigotry, prejudice, or that they simply disagree with my point of view?

During an officer's call for a moment of silence...

They had to yell "Black Lives Matter!"

When Leon Panetta spoke about national security, he was heckled...

When a retired general spoke, one who gave his leg to save his troops, he was heckled...

When a Medal of Honor recipient took the stage, he too was heckled...

Yes, I agree, too willing to hate.

The sign of Democrat desperation...

While standing upon a mountain of hate, cast about the landscape for an opportunity to create another mountain out of a mole hill.
