Too Extreme???

Hi there,

I wondered if anyone can tell me what is considered too extreme for the non consent stories? I have a story that was sent to me for feedback, but I'm not sure I'm the best person to asses it. So, I was considering submitting it on here (with the authors consent) to see what kind of feedback it would receive.

A brief outline:

Dom/sub captured by the Russian military & locked in a dungeon for the purpose of humiliating/tortouring a russian girl (25)who has to be suitably punished for her part in child abuse/murder under the guise of religion. The child abuse does NOT feature in the story, it is simply the reason for her being there. The torture is not extreme, mostly centres on her humiliation by being forced into partaking in sex acts with the Dom & sub whilst being watched by the Russian military.

It didn't do it for me as I was the sub character in the story, & personally would not enjoy having a sex act performed on me by someone who was guilty of the crime of child abuse. The author's reasons were that he was trying to find a good enough reason for a woman to be capable of tortouring another woman (he doesn't know me very well, I can think of plenty ).

So, would a story like that be rejected on the grounds of why the torture/humiliation was taking place? The author wants feeedback on the piece, but would he need to edit it?

I now realise this should have been posted in the Authors Hangout as it refers to a story already written, not one I was tossing out as an idea for a story!

Perhaps the Editor's Forum would have been an even better choice.

Anyway, I don't think it's too extreme. If you want to be super-careful change the child abuse to murder of an unfaithful bedmate.

I actually just edited it to make the characters crime murder of a terrorist nature. What the original writer was aiming to achieve was something of a political/current affairs issue.
