As a soon to be transexual lesbian woman well maybe bi-sexual the possiblity still exist though currently i'm not sexually attracted to any male and never have been, anyway i was wanting to know any advice/tips, and or what to expect life to be like. Also whats the rewarding things of being a woman and the dissappointing things being a woman.

I think your experience will be different from those of us who were born female.

yeah but i want to know what to expect had i been born female so i can have a better understanding of how close i can get to being a true female.

Hi Tymeless - congratulations on starting your transition

I have been there through a number of trans friends' transitions - I'm not sure that you can get a complete sense of what it's like to be a bio girl but from what my MTF friends have gone through I can echo that you'll definitely get a taste of both mysogyny and patriarchy, perhaps even more so than those of us who were born with female genitalia (am assuming you were "born" a woman). Do you have any queer-identifed trans groups / associations where you live that might be a source of support? The hardest thing could be the prejudice you'll find within some portions of the women's community. As a queer-identified bi woman I've found that we bi and trans folks often have similar experiences in this regard. Do you know Susan Stryker? If not, she's an absolutely amazing trans-lesbian historian (teaches at Stanford, founder of the Gay and Lesbian Historical Society - you can find her books on Amazon.com). Anyway, all my good wishes for your journey and the amazing discoveries that await you...

What an apt description of me.

Oddly enough, in my (admittedly limited) experience, I have seen much more misandry than misogyny. The feminist movement has nearly reached the point of female chauvinism, enough to make any man feel inferior. Then again I do live in a rather liberal environment.

If you're living stealth, expect to be treated just like any other woman. Being "truly" female is merely a state of mind.
