To the Veterans

Not quite related, but:
What did you end up doing? Did you get the lamas?:)

Mizzou ROTC Members Told Not To Wear Their Uniforms To Class Due To Threats…

Pathetic.

Just a tiny selection of those who you disparage that defend you and your "so called" rights.
Even in WWI and II, segregated, unable to vote, subject to inequalities in justice and treatment, they fought and are fighting for you, peegirl.

Shame. Shame on you.

Sad, sad, sad!

and please guys, do what I did and block out the offensive LARGE words!

You had to spoil the thread didn't you?
How about the N's you denigrate who also bravely died so you could enjoy the freedom to continue to post your bullshit.

I thought this was pretty cool, Les Miles, the coach of LSU, gave a free tour of the LSU football facilities today to all veterans who were LSU fans. They get to watch practice and sit in on coaching sessions for the upcoming game this weekend.

Well I would like to thank all the tax payers for my tolerance to alcohol, pretty ribbons, and free college.

Next time you can keep all the free trips to shitty countries with shitty people.

Same school of thought as G. W. Apparently same school too. Could lead the world's greatest super power but would be driven from this site. LOL

"I think we all agree, the past is over."
"This is still a dangerous world. It's a world of madmen and uncertainty and potential mental losses."
"Rarely is the question asked, 'Is our children learning?'"
"Will the highways of the Internet become more few?"
"How many hands have I shaked? (spell check caught this one)
"They misunderestimate me." (doubt that)
"I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity."
"I know that the human being and the fish can coexist."
"Families is where our nation finds hope, where our wings take dream."
"Put food on your family!"
"Knock down the tollbooth!"
"Vulcanize society! "
"Make the pie higher!"

I don't know how the rest of the world remembers their veterans but across Canada folks turned out in droves, Very moving.

I remember being in basic training during Iran Hostage Crisis. When the rescue attempt failed and the first word got out about US troops in Iran. The looks on the guys faces going infantry was not good. Some looked on the verge of crying.

An honourable profession with some good benefits. Just cross your fingers the shit don't hit the fan on your tour.

As a supply tech, things would have to have gone south real bad real fast for me to be overly worried. 2 months past my 17th birthday.

Interesting combination, an infantry lanyard with a Spec-4 on the sleeve.

I thought all you combat arms infantrymen got hard stripes? Particularly you "deployed" guys...

Why you no corporal?

When Micah Brodovsky pauses to consider his favourite words in the iconic First World War poem In Flanders Fields, the Grade 8 student's mind drifts to a line near the end.

It is a simple line — "If ye break faith with us who die" — and comes in the third and final stanza of a poem not only much memorized, but, arguably, etched deeply into the Canadian psyche over the 100 years since it was written.
