Rouge panted as he pressed his back up against the wall, his lungs were burning as his chest heaved up and down - each breath taking it's toll as a sharp stitch shot through him. He wasn't unfit by any means but he'd been running for so long now that his body wasn't going to allow him to continue at this pace for much longer. Just resting the back of his head to the brick of the 2 story flat behind him he closed his eyes and quickly thought to himself, how this had all began with that one shot from the rooftops near the Parisian embassy. Shaking his head he refocused upon the situation at hand, giving a small glance around the corner and cursing as he was greeted with the sight of two plain clothed officers running along the snow covered pathway. Letting a long breath escape his chest at a slow rate Rouge found his centre, bringing his forearm crashing into the throat of the first officer to round the corner, bringing his feet out from underneath him on the contact to his head, before wheeling around to bring a fist full of clenched knuckles into the nose of the second officer. A large crunch was enough to show his blow had been successful as he quickly span on his heel and broke off into yet another sprint.
Finding himself in yet another of the endless alleyways this town seemed to possess he decided to take drastic action, it wouldn't be long before those officers were found and they would determine he was in the immediate viscinity. Reaching into his plain denim jacket he gripped the handle of the gun he held there, pulling it from it's holster as he ripped open the door of a car, in which an unsuspecting woman was sat in the driving seat. Hoping into the car as soon as the oppurtunity arose he lifted the gun to point at the female's temple, quickly telling her to drive, closing the door behind him and pushing the clasp down to lock all of the doors.

[OOC: looking for someone to play the female =] ]

OOC: I'll jump in, if that's all right?

Kate
24 years old
5'9", 130lbs.
Auburn hair, green eyes.
Athletic, but shapely.

IC: Kate had been all over town, running errands. She had things to drop off, things to pick up... Appearances to make, people to meet... She had just gotten back into her car and was ready to leave, when a flash of movement caught her eye. Her heart raced as an unfamiliar gentleman threw open her car door, and got in. The cold metal of the gun's barrel against her flesh was good enough reason to drive, and so she did.

She pulled quickly out of her parallel space, and sped down the narrow street. She didn't know what was going on, or what to do. "Wh--Who are you? What's going on? Why are you doing this to me?" The questions tumbled out of her mouth. Her voice was trembling, her hands unsteady. She dared not look over at him, for fear of coming face to face with his gun.

Rouge glanced around out of the slightly dirty windscreen of the small car, there was no-one in sight and he couldn't hear any sounds of footsteps approaching quickly, although even if there were any they would probably be obscured by the dull drone of traffic in the not too far distance. Cursing under his breath he turned his attention back to the girl as he heard the engine of the vehicle splutter as it sprang to life and before long they were driving on the main road, his gun now lowered - whilst still being pointed at her - so that no-one would believe anything suspicious was happening, and the only way they would know that is by the terrified look on the young woman's face.

"Take a left here." he commanded as they approached a T-junction, he knew she wouldn't disobey him, the very sight of the barrel of a gun was far too much for the average person to handle and they would go along with any orders made by the one holding such a weapon; he remembered such a time, when he was more like that, and he almost sighed at the memory.

Snapping back to reality he glanced at the signposts dotted around the sides of the road, all written in french, luckily he knew enough to get himself by. Once they'd taken the left he told her to he pointed at a side road and told her to pull over - he wasn't yet sure where he wanted to go and he was at a far enough distance away that he could collect his thoughts and work out what to do next.

Kate grew fearful at his silence... She decided it was best to keep quiet, and only speak when spoken to. But still, a thousand questions raced through her mind.

He told her to make a left, and she did. He told her to pull over, and she obeyed. She pulled off onto the shoulder of the road, and left the engine running. Her hands remained firmly on the steering wheel... And her eyes stayed fixated on whatever was directly in front of her. She didn't speak, didn't move. Kate waited for her next instruction, hoping it wouldn't be her last.

Rouge just turned and looked at the girl for a few moments before he would start working on a plan to get himself out of this country, he glanced her over; she wasn't unattractive by any means - her curvacious figure was shown off by the clothes she was wearing and he couldn't help but let his gaze linger on her chest and hips as he passed them over. Shaking his head he almost chuckled, it'd been a while since he'd had the oppurtunity to be with a woman and now he sees one and just a glance of her was knocking him off track. Whatever next.

"Give me the keys." he said bluntly, taking them from her hand as she took them from the ignition, his fingers brushing lightly over her knuckles as he went to clasp them - placing them within his pocket. He considered letting the girl run but at the moment it was too dangerous, so instead he got out of the car and quickly went around the other side, opening her door and taking her hand to lead her - with the use of slight force - through the door of the warehouse he'd had her park by. Letting go of her hand as she stumbled into the dark storage area, he turned and bolted the door closed, leaning against it with a relieved sigh. "I'm sorry but you're going to have to stay here for a night, I can't trust you just to run away and inform on me at the moment." he closed his eyes, a hand lifting to brush some hair from his eyeline.

Kate could feel his eyes on her, but she didn't move. She was breathing heavily, and her heart was pounding through her ears.

His voice cracked a wall of silence, and she fumbled to take the keys out of the ignition. Her hand shook violently as he took them from her, and placed them in his pocket. Oh God, he's going to kill me. It's over. She thought. He got out of the car, and came around to her side, pulling her out and shoving her through the door of a shady looking warehouse.

Kate was trembling from head to toe, when she heard his voice again. "I'm sorry but you're going to have to stay here for the night..." Well, at least he apologized. She stood still in the darkness, and waited for her eyes to adjust. She tried to steal a glimpse of her captor, but his face was hidden by the shadows. Suddenly, she felt bold. "Wh--what's going on? Wh--who are you?" Her voice cracked, and she shrunk back, hoping for a reply rather than a punishment.

Rouge had slumped to the floor, just relaxing as he gave his weary body a well deserved reprive, his torso propped up against the wall as he crooked his knees, resting his forearms ontop of them as he gazed upwards at the dark roof of the warehouse.

"Wh--what's going on? Wh--who are you?"

He averted his gaze to the girl as she spoke, glancing her up and down in this dim twilight, once again.

"I'm Rouge." he gave her his assigned name, "As for what's going on, I'm on the run. And that's all you need to know about my current situation. I can't let you leave at the moment because you'd run straight to the police and I would appreciate one night's good sleep before I have to continue my fleeing." He said honestly, why was he being so open? He could've just told her to shut up and fear would've taken care of any of the other curiosities she had.

He stood and moved over to one side of the warehouse, routing through a little pile of materials where he took a sheet of industrial cardboard and some splintered pieces of wood, dousing them in a little lighter fluid he found by luck and struck a match from the box he kept with him, dropping it into all the materials to create a little fire. The light of said fire illuminated his face and he glanced up at the girl once again, gesturing for her to approach. "Come, get warm."

Kate's palms felt cold as he spoke. The situation slowly began to sink in, and she crossed her arms across her stomach in insecurity and fear. She wondered what he had done, what he was running from... But she didn't dare ask. She didn't speak.

She shifted her weight as he traversed the warehouse... She watched him light a fire, the flames cast a warm orange glow across his face. He was handsome, probably a little older than herself. But hardened.

He motioned for her to come closer, and she obeyed, somewhat surprised by his kindness. She walked slowly towards the fire, and sat down a few feet from him. She tucked her knees to her chest, and sat silently. She didn't feel cold. She couldn't feel the heat from the flames. She felt numb.

He turned and looked at her once more, in the light of the fire he captured a better image of her, she was a little younger than him he believed, and was actually quite attractive. He shook his head as he stretched out his hands, rubbing his palms for a moment before he held them to the fire to allow some of the warmth to soothe his aching muscles. He looked at her again, she was just hugging her knees infront of the fire, and it appeared to him that she was still cold. Taking off his denim jacket he swung it around her shoulders without a single word and tugged it into a suitable place, shuffling back to where he had sat to resume holding his hands before the heat. He wished he could get out of this country right now; but as with many other periods in his life - he would have to endure some hardship first, even if he was weary.

"I'm sorry you got dragged into this." he said, sincerely, he didn't like hurting the innocent.

Kate's body went rigid as he approached her, but she relaxed as he put his jacket around her shoulders. She carefully tugged it into place, and rested her chin on her knees.

He spoke again... This time an apology. She squinted slightly, to see his face. He looked sincere, and she trusted her judgement. She didn't know how to respond... "I... It... It's... Why..." She stammered. "Wh--What exactly are you running from?" She figured she might as well know what she's dealing with... Considering this could be a lengthy ordeal. She wondered why he hadn't just taken her car... Why did he take her, too?

Rouge listened to her question as the words stumbled past her full lips, and he thought to himself - wondering if he should tell her, he was compelled to - although he didn't know why.

"I.." he sighed and settled his hands in his lap. "I killed someone, I'm a killer, in that - I'm paid to take life." That had been suitably blunt, although he was pretty sure that it would also terrify her and he would hear no more words out of her from now on.

"I had my exit sorted but it was.." he paused, searching for the right word, "..compramised, and now I just have to find my way out of the country. That's why I needed you to drive me away from the city, there are people looking for me."

Once again he ran his fingertips through his hair and turned to look her dead in the eyes, seeing what her reaction to his story would be.

Kate's eyes grew wide as she listened to him... She sat unmoving, unsure of how to react. He just confessed to being a killer... A wrong reaction could be the end for her, too. She was careful with her body language. She didn't move. Didn't flinch.

She blinked a few times, before softly saying, "Oh." She studied his face... Hoping for an answer. She wondered about the details... What his life was really like. She quickly pushed those thoughts away, not wanting to feel sentimental about a killer. She didn't really want to be inside his mind... Did she?

She averted her eyes to the fire, and drew in a slow, deep breath. She exhaled slowly, thinking. She wanted to ask him, what now? She got him out of the city... How far would he take her before she could get back to Paris, back to her life? Or would she ever get back to her life? Would she end up just like... The others?
