Are you including the Directors of Banks, General Motors, AIG etc. as welfare recipients, considering they received Billions in public funds and Government Guarantees.

Ummm….. Could you altruistic (with words, that is) progressives at least practice what you preach?
How many times did I hear the "you're certainly fat, uglee and on a wellfare" "insult" from you enlightened bunch?
KK is back?∧∧∧∧∧
Had cyber-sex with KK (the female impersonator) behind his wife's back. And he still hopes that every new poster is a KK alt.
Well-known fact.
If you had an ounce of intelligence you would know that food stamps are not the Obama "slavery" that is bankrupting this country.
The welfare entitlements that are bankrupting the country are the Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson "slavery programs" known respectively as Social Security and Medicare which are provided to virtually every American citizen over age 65 who has paid into the programs throughout their lives, the monetary benefits of which have been greatly and disproportionately expanded (relative to tax revenue) by nearly every President and both houses of every Congress since the programs began. Obama is merely the latest in a long line of political soup kitchen workers from both parties.
The class war bankrupting this country is not between rich and poor. It is between young and old, or more precisely, healthy and unhealthy. If you're so damned determined to save billions of dollars in welfare entitlements, you're going to have to champion a new program that kills off your parents and grandparents when they reach age 70.
Oh, and you, too, when your time comes. Happy birthday.

What he said. Is the core problem. The only envy I have is to his eloquence.
once again you bamboozle with BULL SHITAnd I speak from an obvious perspective of expertise. I am both a Social Security and Medicare beneficiary. Over half of my current income is from Social Security. The rest is from a state government pension program in Colorado. Prior to enrolling in Medicare, my health insurance was provided through that state pension program at a monthly cost of nearly $700. As soon as I enrolled in Medicare, that monthly health insurance premium went directly into my pocket.
Most recently I was hospitalized for five days with a serious urinary infection. But for the intervention of a private custodial care nurse who understood how seriously ill I was and called 911, it could have killed me.
I have yet to receive all the bills and Medicare benefit statements, but I suspect the total cost will run into the tens of thousands of dollars, and if I have more than a few hundred bucks out of pocket, I will be greatly surprised.
I am the problem NeverEnding complains of. And I have not the first guilty bone in my body. NOBODY is going to hire my broken down, 66-year-old ass to do jack shit. And if no one will hire me, than I can't pay my way through life be it food, shelter, healthcare or anything else, even if I WAS physically able to work.
Take away my right to vote? Yeah, go ahead. How much money did we just save? Do we really want to let people die on the curbs or in the ER waiting rooms?

To a large extent, SS was PAID for by the workers etc, maybe not $ for $, as was medicare
Not so with ObamaPhone, Welfare, Food Stamps etc etc
You're a certifiable idiot. CURRENT Social Security AND Medicare benefits have ALWAYS been paid for PRIMARILY out of CURRENT payroll taxes. That worked well when the labor force of my generation (Baby Boomers) was significantly larger than the beneficiary pool of the previous generation of elderly. Now that my generation represents the financial burden to a new, smaller labor pool the fiscal shit is hitting the fan.
And federally subsidized housing and food stamp programs NOT directly funded by designated payroll taxes have preceded the Obama administration by, oh, about 50 years or so, ffs!
