I looked out the living room window as my boys were getting off the bus and that is when I realized I forgot to put the umbrellas in their book bags this morning.

It isn't raining hard but it is consistent. Our house is at the end of a cul-de-sac and since the street is only 2 tenths of a mile long the bus does not come down it.

So instead of running down the street to get out of the rain like an adult would they took their time goofing off and jumping in puddles having fun.

I have them dried off and they are doing homework now but when I said I was sorry that I forgot the umbrellas they told me that was OK the rain was more fun than using the umbrellas for sword fighting.

I guess that once a boy,,, always a boy,,, I'd still rather walk in the rain and play in the puddles rather than stoop to using an umbrella,,, :)

Reckon that has anything to do with this walking pneumonia I currently am beset with ?

No, but it might have something to do with why you still have it. Honestly, do I need to come over there and make sure you stay in bed?

*forget wagging finger at CW*

It probably has alot to do with it! But, I have to hang my head and admit...I never use umbrellas and let me tell you it rains alot in Seattle! But...I like it! Okay, one of my most favoritest (yeah I now there's such word) things is to take a walk in the rain and eat on an ice cream cone. Okay so I am strange but, I find very...romantic...and fun!

Well....gotta get back to work!

Yes, ma'am,,, I know, I know,,,

As much fun as I had as a child, I have to say I enjoy adult pleasures more. My own sons provide mewith all the "childhood" I can handle!

I am with you Luscious I still remember the fun I had as a kid playing hide and seek. I had a lot of good places to hide since I grew up on a farm.... I also wish I still had all of the time to go walking in the woods play cowboys and indians. :)

I miss the belief that no matter what happens, someone else will take care of you. All kids should have that feeling.

if it is warm outside...i love to walk slowly in the rain, and feel the drops slowly caressing my body

My kids are a bit older (20 and 22 to be exact) but I find I am having alot of fun "learning" new things with my grandchildren. The joy of watching my grandson discover how something works, something feels is great. Makes me feel like a child also. As an adult I have forgotten some of the basic joys in life. The joy of chasing a butterfly through the field, the joy of raking leaves in a pile and running through it. The curiousity of watching a bug make its way across the driveway. The simplicity of laying on your back watching the clouds float by. Ahhhh to be young and carefree again.

I do love playing in the rain-only when its warm. Is anyone in FL? Julia, Ambros? ever wander down to the Sunshine state?

My dad lives in a little town on the panhandle and we spend two weeks every summer down there.
