This thread is for anyone that has been denied with the saying "Fix grammar and spelling then resubmit"
If your grammar and spelling is fine, I just want to let you know the reason I put that down is to make sure you still want the story on chyoo and that you are still around.

You have a limited number of reasons to choose from, and "fix spelling and grammar and resubmit" was the least misleading in order to request author interaction?

I wouldn't worry about that it's not something I ever bothered with as an English writer, writing for what is primarily an American site. The only times I make changes like that are in dialogue when words like ass generally sound better than arse when spoken by an American character.

Like i said, i mostly did that to filter out the inactive authors and the active authors. Just resubmit your story then it will most likely get approved.

You're right I don't seem to see a way to resubmit the story. I could have sworn there was an easy way to do it, but that might have been back on the old Chyoo 1 system.

I tried to add a story and then resubmit it and I could not figure out a way to do it. I guess the best way would be to just tell me the name of the story and I can go into the denied story and flip it to approved. Providing the only reason that it was denied was the fact we were not sure if you were active it will be now problem. If you need to edit it at all do it before you tell me and then I can approve it straight away for you.

Sorry for the confusion, I am still figuring out the ins an outs of how to do things also.

My submitted story "Wet night at the motel" has had some strange way...
Originally written 08/15/04 it took some weeks before I got a mail message "story approved".
It still didn't show up amongst the other threads though, and in my personal "stories" list it came up as "waiting approval".
Now, more than a year later, it's been officially rejected (for verification purposes, since my grammar and spelling is little short of impecable).

I'd very much like this story to be approved though.

... but why this very long delay?

This is a result of new moderators on Chyoo. Just edit your story and then Report the Introduction thread with a note about looking at it for approval.

I use a spell checker from iespell.com to check my spelling when typing on line. The spell check you can download from there does a good job in cleaning up my little typos. By the way your story is a good one. I would like to add to it when you get finished editing it. Drop another not on this thread when it is ready to go.

Oh I just want to add that I accidently updated stories without changing it to denied, so if somehow you get an email saying that it is waiting approval, then saying denied, that would be because I was doing it too fast lol.

Works only with IE while I use Firefox, so no use for me.
I write my stories offline anyway, since it typically takes more than an hour to get it right by content and phrasing.
