To Anon, who left me such a nice, helpful feedback message this morning.

Thanks. I do appreciate it and will try to remember.

Hugs- (I think I detect sarcasm here). I honestly meant what I said- you really give a how-to masterclass on how to write sexy as fuck sex scenes!

To all the anon's out there, just remember, the author controls the delete key.

SJ - There was no sarcasm on my part and, much as I treasure your thoughts (!:rose:!), I don't think it was from you.

I got a really nice note pointing out an error in grammar. It was polite, helpful and lucid and, it being from our old friend Anonymous, I had no idea where else to say thank you.

Hugs back, BTW.

While anonymous comments are often mean or petty, I had a very nice one on my story yesterday. Anon pointed out something very important that couple of prior commenters had missed and which (hopefully!) changes the reader's understanding of the story. The comment was worded in such a way that it really doesn't spoil the story, which made me even happier. I'd been disappointed about the comments and score to that point, but that comment made me feel much better and took the focus off the score.

I received an anonymous message for my Valentine's Day story and it was very complimentary with a lot of constructive feedback. I wish he hadn't sent it to me anonymously as I would have really liked to thank him. Maybe he'll read this here and know that I appreciated his message.

I’ve received some nice comments from Anonymous, but only in loving wives where Mr. Anonymous might not want others to know that he said something positive for fear of being attacked.

Exhilarating

Although a hetero male, I found this story rich in its primary character development and how the supporting husband's character dealt with his wife's recognition and developing bisexuality . Very erotic . Well Done

Ugh. That's nasty.

It's probably a result of your participation in the Politics forum. That's a toxic place, full of ugliness. Some people take pleasure in being ugly online.

Wowza!

I didn't get anything close to that. I have gotten a couple additional anonymous messages, but just to point out some grammatical mistakes that I made, of which I'm very appreciative.

Surprisingly, no.

One wonders why the Web site bothered to have gone with a review delay on story comments, though, if they didn't erase this one before it was posted.

You managed to stir some dumb Trumpette up. Just laugh and erase it. Show them how impotent they are. (You're showing the opposite now.)

I agree with KeithD. This is so contemptible it's not even worth thinking about. Delete and forget. It's not worth debating with these folks on the Political board, either. There is no prospect for meaningful debate with trolls of this sort.

Anon 3 days ago commented on a poem I wrote.

"Do a pome bout dat pussy gitting fisted u man haytin bitch!"

I promptly deleted it. The spelling was just awful and he didn't seem to understand that I'm a guy, so that happened. I was surprised that it made it through to the comments, but nothing you can do to stop them from being assholes. Ipso facto, delete and move on

The reason I started this thread is because it indicates that Literotica has a problem.

If you or I post a comment, we have to wait while it is moderated.

These comments were obviously NOT about the particular stories. If comments are moderated? How did they get through?

The poster would win if I decided NOT to write any more stories for Literotica and/or deleted all my 400+ stories.

I post some of my work elsewhere. I have NEVER had that sort of abuse. Some people might not like a particular story and have said so and why. That is fair.

The comments should NOT have been permitted - and permitted they were. Why?

Yep, I posted that I thought something like that getting through negates the rather recently instituted delay/review process here on Literotica. That said, I've also learned that if you point out issues with the Web site, the Web site owners call you a troll. So, there you go.

After the second or third one, I just kind of made peace with it. You will get trolls wherever you go, and as long as they're not sending me private messages I'm not terribly worried about it. Just delete and move on

Spam was the only thing that motivated the site's review of comments. The comment you're talking about is offensive, but it isn't spam. Deleting offensive comments has always been the authors prerogative, and it still is.

I agree it's a problem. It's abusive. I assume it's because the Site owners simply have very limited time to patrol things.

I'm not saying this is the right answer, but I find it's a practical one. I seldom interact with the General and Political boards on this site. They're scum ponds. You are drawing trolls because you choose to interact there. I think the same thing happens to KeithD. It doesn't matter whether you are polite or reasonable. Wander through the troll field, and you pick up hostile trolls. They can't be reasoned with, and the Site for whatever reason doesn't have the time or ability to control them. My recommendation would be to save interaction regarding politics for other sites.

It's not just because the GB. I got harassed and my story file dumped on via other areas of the discussion board for a decade before I ever checked out the GB because the issues get so repetitive and needy here on the AH and the Feedback and Editors boards. I mostly ignore/delete and don't expect as high ratings here as I get on sites that don't include discussion boards.

I am sorry that you have to contend with that. Truly. The most people that have rated one of my submissions was 8 individuals, myself being one of them. Hurtful comments are one thing, attacking the perceived quality of your stories is different. I don't think that there will be a reasonable response to either anytime soon. Repetitive and needy? You write amazing stories, screw what trolls say.

I screw what trolls say.

Thanks. Yes, that's pretty much how I take comments such as are being referenced here. (And the trolls don't like it.) This isn't my thread. I pretty much try not to initiate complaining threads. The trolls do like to see that they're having that effect.
