Title change

Yep..........

Pull the one story currently submitted from "pending" and resubmit the new.

Will cause pending process to start new.

BA, sorry lol - wanted to shorten 'it,' ( a compliment, though it doesn't shorten -hah).

Everything I write is based on my experience. I ask, how can you write otherwise? The feel, the taste, the smell, the sound and sights would lose their impact - wouldn't they?

Even if fantasy, there is some basis in reality - otherwise how can one describe:
the feel, the smell, the taste, the sound, the touch.

Charley, just curious, but what on earth did that have to do with the question?

Seriously, is there a way to do this? Does anyone know? I know you can edit the story itself and resubmit it, but can you change the title?

In exactly the same way as editing, add into the notes that the title is changed.

Gauche

So submit it with the new title and say in the Notes section that I want to get rid of the old title (such and such) and replace it with the different one?

Just trying to make sure because where it talks about submitting an edited story, it says to be sure title is the same....

CM

PS. not trying to be a dunderhead about this. I just want to make sure that it doesn't end up with the story listed twice under two different titles.

I think that with the way Gauche has specified, resubmitting with a new title will have the same story posted twice but with different names even if you have 'edited' in the title and an explanation in the notes. It has happened to me. I think you should delete the old story and then submit the changed title. That will cause you to lose your votes and views though.

Resubmit the story under "<OLD TITLE> - TITLE CHANGE" (not EDIT) and specify the new title in the Notes field. That always worked for me.
