ok, my last thread for this sort of fell apart, the two girls posting sort of lost interest...so, i'm starting it over...

the setting is basically this...after fighting crime as a team for a while, Raven decides she wants to try to live a normal life. to that end, she moves out of the tower and into a house on the outskirts of the city. my character will be answering an ad for a roommate (if we get someone playing Starfire, she'll have moved out with Raven)

Jack Sparx walked slowly up to a house, studying an advertisement in the newspaper. The advertisement was for a roommate to share living expenses with two other people, and as he looked up, he found the house to be very nice. He wondered briefly what his new roommates would be like, and how much rent would be. He could cover it, but he wanted to make sure he wasn't overstretching his account. He had a lot of stuff to move in, and quite a bit of money would be needed to pay for it. But at least the place looked about big enough. He hoped his roommates would be friendly, and he wondered why there was a big raven emblem on one side of the door, and a big green star on the other.

He walked up to the door slowly, and knocked. He waited several minutes, then knocked again, before leaning against the door. He was startled and fell backwards when the door opened on him.

OOC: this is open to one or two women, please

OOC: thank you....the basic idea is that Starfire opens the door...Raven of course is likely to be meditating :p feel free to pick up where I left off

starfire

She giggled as he opened the door she had a sense of playfulness to her, she looked him over... ''Well, well'' She said smugly yet her dark emerald green blue eyes shimmered with a smile as she looked him over.

Jack looked up, and found himself staring into the strangely irridescent green eyes of a beautiful redhead. He shook his head, then slowly got to his feet, dusting himself off. His truck was parked out front, with his stuff in it. He straightened his shirt, then turned to look at her. He looked her up and down unconsciously, and then smiled, pulling out the advertisement he was answering.

"Hi, you had an ad in the paper looking for a roommate? I didn't see anything about what you were looking for exactly, so..."

Raven peered open one eye as Starfire opened the door, giving a soft chuckle and shaking her head. She had traded her black robes for a more... normal look- basic jeans and a black tank top. She was now perched on the floor in a crossed legged position, her hands rsting on the back of her knees. "Our first curious candidate, I take it.." She stood up from her position on the floor, going over to them.

Starfire looked at Raven and smiled... ''Yes.. and maybe a very likely one'' She said stifling a giggle. Starfire was wearing her usual tight attire tight tank-top and tight short blue jean skirt considering what she used to wear was her pink cape and matching tight pink jeans..

Jack blinked, looking from one beautiful woman to the other. He was a little confused, as if they had passed some sort of conversation he hadn't caught in their words. He looked at them for a moment, then shrugged. He pulled out his wallet, to check how much cash he had on him. If worst came to worst, he could go to the bank, or to an ATM. He counted four thousand in large bills, and about five hundred in small bills. He finished his counting, then looked up.

"How much is it?"

She looked him over how the three of them were very different people now, she took a deep breath closing her eyes as if looking for a thought or something to say... ''500 a month'' She said nonchlantly, and then looked at Raven... ''Is that okay with you?'' She always checked with her roommate first.

Raven watched as he counted out his money, holding out her hand. "Hang on there a moment, fella. Let's talk first before we make any final decisions. We don't need any weirdos trying to move in with us." She gave Starfire a quick smirk, then looked back to him. "We don't really have a set price on the room. All depends on what you can contribute. First things first. Introductions." She placed a hand against her chest. "I'm Raven... Some people call me Rachel."

Starfire loved that about Raven, how she loved to toy around with people get them going.. so she went along she knew she was the easy going pushover of the two.. ''And I am Starfire.. most call me Star'' She said with a smile and flipped her long red hair.. ''But tell us who are you''

Jack watched Raven, listening to her words, then blinked when she introduced herself. He thought for a moment, then smiled, and bowed low, taking her hand and kissing it, not knowing she was a telepath, but sending an image of a silver dragon giving a young boy a sword. He straightened again, letting her hand drop.

"My name is Jack Sparx, but you can call me Jacky, if you want."

"Jack." Raven nodded. Normal name. Good. Thank god it wasn't *Robin*. She would've booted him right then. The whole hand kissing thing- well, that was going to take some getting used to. "What do you say we give him a tour, Star? Let him decide if he wants to stay with us or not."

Starfire smiled at the two and left the decisions up to Raven... ''What do you think raven?'' She asked softly her eyes turning that shade whenever she thought from green to blue.. as if she were trying to get inside of her head

Jack smiled, then put his wallet back, and looked around. He raised an eyebrow at the look the two women exchanged. He did find it a little odd that they wouldn't ask for a reference check, though he only had his father as a reference, and he died in a terrorist bombing.

Starfire looked at Raven and wondered what she was really thinking.. noone knew she had the powers to read minds besides Raven that is.. it was the power she hated it came and went so much.. as well she looked over Jacky as well as they showed him the house.

Raven guestured for him to follow, leading him into the living room. "Well, here's the main room..." A couch was shoved against the far wall, and a small television sat on a stand across from it. "We used to be fairly... occupied with work, so trying to live in such a quiet area is taking a bit to get used to." She indicated another hallway, then back to the staircase. "Kitchen's down that hall, laundry room's right outside of that... Bedrooms and bathroom are all upstairs." She had already figured out from that ackward hand moment that he wasn't that bad a guy... a few minor incidents with the law in his past, but nothing sending out warning signs. No, he seemed to be a safe bet.

Star knew what Raven was thinking as she lead them through the house Raven was like a big sister to her... and if Raven thought the guy was okay then Starfire knew he muct be.. so she would give Raven the honors of telling him he could live there

Jack followed Raven, looking over the place, and grinned. He could replace that tv with the bigscreen he had brought with him, and place a second one in his bedroom. He nodded as she told him the layout of the place, as well as of their former preoccupation with their jobs. He smiled, and then spoke calmly.

"Is there a place outside where I can practice with my collection?"

"Collection?," Raven asked leerily. "We do have a fairly big backyard... but what kind of collection do you have?"
