Due to the poor economy, the military has met all its recruiting goals for the first time since 1973 (link on Drudge). Now, more than ever, you need to ramp up your calls to just bring them home since now, more than under Bush, those poor kids are just there for a job, they had no real choice...

;) ;)

... this isn't what they signed up for, imperialistic, unending, colonial nation-building...

Keep pretending that we're in Afghanistan for the same reasons we were in Iraq. You know that we aren't Cap'n Disingenuous, although you would never admit to this, probably not even to yourself.

Afghanistan is the place we should have been all along. Fighting against those who were actually responsible for the attacks on 9/11. Instead of announcing victory there and then declaring Iraq the central front in the "War on Terror™" and diverting nearly all resources there while the Taliban crept right back into the void left in Afghanistan.. It's funny though, to hear those who were more than willing to stay in Iraq indefinitely now lamenting the fact that we aren't out of Afghanistan now.

To use the meme's of the "right":
Why is it you think that our military is incapable of victory? Why don't you support the troops? Why do you hate America?

AJ has often held that "Iraq" and "Afghanistan" are synonymous and interchangeable, if you squint just the right way....

What's the objective?

Where's the needed timeline?

Where are the necessary benchmarks?

What the fuck is the definition of "Mission Accomplished?"

You guys determined this to be the right war, do you have a clue to the right tactic?

While Obama lies, kids looking for jobs have to die for them...

We shouldn't be in Iraq OR Afghanistan.

...or North Korea, or Japan, or Germany, or in any of the (approx) 150 countries we have troops in.

Agreed.

It's time to let them fight it out since the Democrats already won on a we are the "real" enemy platform.

The Nobel committee just proved how much the world hated Bush and wants us to simply go home with out tails between our legs begging forgiveness at every country we pass...

The Nobel committee rewarded Fido for submissively rolling over so the alpha males of the world could scratch his tummy and show dominance.

Now they say it was about "reaching out to Muslims" and abandoning the missile shield for Poland.

The universe is about strong vs. weak (just ask Lao Tzu). Which side do you want to be on?

Note the resumption of last month's Democrat meme; take one personal shot, one straw man, or one ascriptive shot and run...

;) ;)

*chuckle*

I didn't think so. There's a NEW standard in town. Now we do whatever we can not to embarrass the President...

;) ;)

And the MSM media wonders where its readers and viewers went.

Interesting, isn't it. There was a discussion on this very board a couple of years ago where Lit's right wing denied, vociferously and at length, that recruitment had anything to do with economics or education. And yet here they are saying the opposite.

You tossers might be pretty shameless, but some of us actually have memories.

Fuck Sean, you still can't read with comprehension.

We're not making any argument, we're using the Obama/Alinksy tactic of holding the Liberals to the standards they adopted and the arguments they used to defend their "Patriotism" and "support for the troops, but not the mission," in Iraq.

You can be a bloody dense idiot when you want to be...

So you disagree with the mission which is against the group that actually attacked America on our own soil?

Got it.

I was a young Democrat when first I learned to chant...

Hey hey, ho ho
Obama's got to go!
Hey hey, ho ho...

You see, we rw wingnut hypocrites are true Patriots because we support the troops, but not the mission...

Our Pres__ent, with no id, uh..., is going to get your soldiers killed as well as ours while he fights the "right war." He's talked himself into a box with his big talk about taking our eye off the ball and "getting" bin Laden, meanwhile, here at home CODE PINK and Cindy Sheehan are still kickin' and protestin' and hating all war under any leader, dear or hated...

Obama's got to go,
Hey hey, ho ho...

You got some answers for me? Obama hasn't given me any. Is it now Patriotic just to blindly support our Dear Leader?

What's the mission?

The mission is to destroy al qaeda, and ensure a government is in power that is not sympathetic to the terrorists like the taliban.

I don't have enough faith in your claim to bother, but I remember those rebutting lib claims that our military recruits had sub standard educations. Which is a bit different.

Don't forget the fucking rotten Bush economy which forced them into the military just to et a job!

That would be selling the critics short; they had a two-fold argument!

Besides, bin Laden's in PAKISTAN...

The Taliban are just the native villagers, so he has to kill them all, but his base would rebel, so for political reasons, these dumbass kids who needed jobs are going to be left dangling in the breeze as Able targets...

never mind that Pelosi said McChrystal " went outside the chain of command "

SUPPORT THE TROOPS BRING THEM HOME NOW

The let's go shoot up fucking Detroit because al Qaeda isn't a nation it's a religious movement which plays well with the racists who followed Black Liberation Theology and its teachings about the evils of racist white Amerikkka.

And anyway, that's gone by the wayside because Dear Leader is at war with the Taliban, who, btw, ARE IN PAKISTAN TOO!

Al Q is in Pakistan and 3 dozen States thruout the world

And thruout the US as well

WHAT DO WE DO?
