General Motors Corp. will offer the government the choice of giving it billions more in bailout money or seeing it file for bankruptcy when it presents a restructuring plan next week, according to a report published Saturday.

this is nuts:
While GM's Wagoner previously opposed filing for bankruptcy protection, the CEO in early December hired bankruptcy lawyers and advisers to prepare a "contingency plan," the report said.

should we toss more "good" money after bad....or should Wagoner go directly to jail?

Wagoner -
What a brilliant plan…how many billions did they get last year? Now if they file for bankruptcy I wonder if GM can weasel out of paying the government back?

I'm all in favor of the management of GM going to jail. I'm not sure what they did is against the law though. Let's see if it goes to court.

I wasn't entirely in favor of bailing out the Big Three. On the other hand having such a huge piece of the remaining manufacturing capacity of the U.S. go under would have severe economic consequences that would end up costing the government and the U.S. a lot more than the cost of the bailout package.

But seriously, what do you expect from people as delusional as the upper management of large corporations? They believe they are capitalists, which they are not. And they believe all capitalists are rich, which is also not true.

However many people, perhaps most, share that delusion so incompetent managers are allowed to get away with a lot. We'd rather keep our illusions.

Well, I think we should fly all the “top producers” to Vegas for a conference…and since these people are very busy we should put them on private jets…that way they can “work” and not be incontinence and annoyed by flying commercial

What's this jail thing? I'm missing what horrible act they committed, though I don't want them to get a bailout either.

The only difference between GM taking welfare and a poor person is the poor person probably can't offer a restructuring plan. (Bankruptcy lawyers are expensive!)

You want them to pee on themselves?

in⋅con⋅ti⋅nent [in-kon-tn-uhnt] –adjective

1. unable to restrain natural discharges or evacuations of urine or feces.

GM used some of its bailout money to shut 2 Michigan plants and build a plant in Brazil.

America is full of fools who cant see the handwriting on the wall. Bailout money cant help consumers buy new cars, and GM isnt dum enough to build cars they cant sell. So the money went for overhead, plant closings, and off-shoring more jobs. GMAC likely used some of the money to hire more lawyers to file liens.

Damn cloudy, I should hire you to be my editor….I know that you will catch every mistake that I make and the end result would be one kick butt story….care to freelance edit for me? if so send me a pm

hum.....incontinent also works! lol
