Todays book pix are two oldies by John D. MacDonald and a fat biography of Frederick the Great. The MacDonald books are IN A SMALL MOTEL, and HURRICANE. The HURRICANE novel is based on a storm that came here in 1950. He calls the storm HILDA but storms weren't yet named in 1950. Its a local murder story.
