how long does it usually take for a story to show up on lit?

(sarcasm, here...it's friday night and i'm home alone with three cats...forgive me)

At least twice as long as you think it would take.

Far longer than your longest estimate.

Longer than the most reasonable person's patience.

BUT light years quicker than any printed publication.

Og.

Remember the proverb, Chicklet!

The potatoes will never boil, as long as you keep looking at them.

O, that's the secret. But we're all so anxious to see Chicklet's potatoes.

Umm it also helps if you switch the cooker on Svenska dear.

Mind you I can't comment really, you're looking at a guy who can burn a salad.

pops..........:D

OK

Now on a serious note to reply to the lovely Chicklet, the longest I've waited was 5 days, the shortest 2 days, that one gave me a shock, I had feedback before I knew it was up, I hadn't bothered to check in that short a time.

pops...........:)

I can make a killer lasagna, but I can't boil an egg right.

Soft-boiled: Put your eggs into a saucepan and add cold water to cover by half an inch or so. Bring to a boil over medium-high flame, remove from heat, put the lid on the pan. Time for three minutes (assuming you're using US large eggs and you're at sea level.) Remove with slotted spoon. They should be done to a turn if you like your yolks mostly runny. Four minutes for more solid yolks.

For hard-boiled eggs, time for fifteen minutes. Remove eggs and put them into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. This method reduces cracking and avoids that nasty green ring around the yolks from overcooking.

Did you actually want all that? Probably not, but I'm a kitchen geek. ;-) Stories? Hell if I know--I haven't submitted for a while.

Please want me

Just read this poem of Chicklet's.

Worth waiting for even if the wait drove her nuts.

Even e-books take a lot longer than Lit. Four to six weeks in some cases.
