CLANG!

The sound of metal hitting on metal resonated through the virtual simulator as Fayt blocked the knight's sword with his own. The crowd cheered him on as he swung the sword in an upward's motion, catching and punching through the knight's plate armor with the sword. The knight disappeared in a spray of lights, leaving Fayt standing along in the middle of the arena.

"Let's see, that gives me level 52. Not bad for a couple hours in the game sim. Let's see who my next opponent is."

His next oppent was being formed when the entire game was shut down as the emergency system began blaring.

Warning! Warning! All civilians please proceed to the nearest evacuation tube. Please proceed to the nearest evacuation tube.

"Great, now what?"

Fayt bolted out the door and out into the corriodor, right into a small group of vactioners.

"What's going on?"

"The planet's under attack!"

"Run!"

Fayt had no choice but to head to the nearest tranporter. He stopped as he asked the attend there for a moment.

"Who's attack?"

"It is the Ven'tross. Please go into the transporter sir. You will be transported to The Diplos and evacuated to a safer place."

"The Ven'tross? But..."

"Please sir, you don't have much time."

Fayt sighed as he tried to look and see if his parents had made it yet, but couldn't see any sign of them. He shook his head and stepped into the transporter. A few moments later he was standing on the observation deck of the transport ship with a few other survivors. His parents wasn't among them.

"Where are they?"

He pushed the thought aside for a moment when he saw most everyone had gathered around a viewing screen on one wall. He moved to see what was going and then stepped back for a moment. The planet he had been on earlier was being bombarded now and soon erupted, completely wiped out. That was the last image shown as the screen went back as they went into hyperspace. He moved to one of the many benches around the deck and laid down, falling asleep as exhustion hit him.

Warning! Warning! Everyone please go to the nearest escape pod!

Fayt jerked awake as the warning went off once more. He could feel the room shake around him as the transport ship was attacked by the Ven'Dross.

"Please come this way everyone. There are enough escape pods for everyone one."

One of the female Fedration soldiers stood at the door, directed everyone out. Fayt sighed and shook his head.

"This is not my day. 18 and all alone. What is going on?"

He had no choice but to follow the woman if he wanted to survive. He opened the hatch for the escape pod and climbed in, closing it behind him. A few moments later he was shot out into space, the Diplo exploding a few moments later as it was destroyed.

Ten days later the escape pod's computer picked up a planet on it's scanners. The planet's technological level was only that of Medieval times during earth's history and outside of normal space traffic. As the escape pod entered the atmosphere, it made a bright red streak as it came down to land deep in a forest near a large city.

Sindera raced through the underbrush, the bigger men almost catching up with her. She had managed to get out of the library unseen, but as soon as she had hit the town square proper they had spotted her and took up chase once more.

She held the book tight against her, she couldn't lose it again. She had lef tit in the library on her last visit and found it but as she went to leave they had thought her stealing the tome.

She ran through the brush, easily out running the men. She saw the streak of red cross the sky, but could not tell how far off it was. It was to her a sign.. she wasn't sure of what yet, but of something.

She ran on towards where the streak had arced. She heard the resounding boom as the craft crash landed in the forest. She wasn't sure but kept running in the direction hoping the men behind her would give up on catching their prey.

Fayt sat in the pod for a few moemnts, punching keys on the control panel. So far it looked like the transponder was working, but he wasn't sure how far it would reach into space. He grabbed his communicator and put it in his pocket before opening the hatch and getting out.

"I'll probably need a weapon, but this level of technological wouldn't really permit a gun. I am most familiar with the sword so..."

He pushed a button on the side of the pod and one of the panels slide open to reveal a replicator. He punched up the sequence for a sword and waited as the replicator went to work. In a moment a longsword was created and he grabbed it, hefting it to test it's wieght.

"I can work with this. I don't think there's any juice left to make clothes suitable for this planet, so I'll have to deal with these."

He looked down at the white vest, trimmed with blue and the white t-shirt underneath. His pants were white uniform-type pants and he wore the white socks and blue shoes from the day of the evacuation. He was sure he could find someway of explaining himself without interfering much. He wasn't very tall, only about 5'7" and slender. He ran a hand through his short black hair as he looked around with light blue eyes.

"I gotta hide this sonehow...That'll work."

The pod had luckily landed in a shallow hole, so he grabbed a few branches and laid them over the hole, covering them with leaves.

"Much better."

Sindera made it to the clearing faster than she had expected. She broke from the trees and into the opening as the man across the clearing had just finished covering up something with branches.

"Run.. they'll be here soon." She ran hard across the clearing, headed right for him. Her long red hair flowing behind her. The woman was slender, looked to be of frail build, dressed in a long flowing gown of green.

She ran for him and then past him avoiding the area where he had hidden the pod. She stumbled and dropped the book, she rolled to her feet then turned to face where she had come.

"No time... get out of the way." She began to chant as the sounds of the men following her could be heard in the bushes.

Four men stepped from the trees."There she is get the little thief." They broke into a faster run as they headed her way.

She raised her hands in ffont of her and began to weave an intricate pattern in front of her. As her chant became fster she stopped the movement and a flaslh of light shot from her palms and straight for the man in the lead.

The three others stopped in their tracks.. "Oh shit.. she's not just a theif she's a damn mage..."

Fayt turned as he heard noises behind him and blinked as a girl in a green gown came running through.

"Huh?"

He was confused for a moment as she told him to get down, even more when the four men came running through. He dove to one side, landing on his side and rolling a few feet. He came up in a crouch as he looked to see how the girl was after falling. His eyes went wide for a moment as the flash of light left her hands.

"Whoa..."

The woman stirred under a pile of leaves. Oww, my head is killing me! Damn, what happened? she thought, standing up and dusting off her cloak, which had apparently been torn in whatever fall she had taken. It was torn in several places, showing the several scratches and bruises marking her olive coloured skin. Well, nothing too bad- ooh! Her hand went to her forehead, finding it covered in something warm and sticky. The pain at her touch and a quick look at her fingertips explained the obvious. Wow, thats gonna leave a scar. Feeling a bit lightheaded from the deep gash on her head, she sat down on a nearby rock and tried to clear her thoughts. Resting her aching head in her hand, she pushed out all stress and just tried to relax, hoping the pain would stop. Where am I? I don't recognize this place at all. Damnit. Well, I am sure that there must be a town closeby. Better get moving. Suddenly, a loud CRACK! pierced the air. She turned towards the direction of the sound, now hearing shouts and curses coming from the same direction. She jumped up from the stone and began moving towards the sound of the fight that must be happening, not noticing that though her hand was still covered in her blood, the gash in her head had stopped bleeding and was nearly healed.

The first man fell backwards as the bolt of light hit him square in the chest. His friends moved in and grabbed him, dragging him back towards the trees. "You little bitch, you'll pay for that. We know you'll have to come back to town eventually." With that they carried their downed friend back towards town.

Sindera looked around finally able to take note of the man she had run past. She wasn't sure yet if he was friend or foe, but he hadn't moved to help the men that were after her. There was just soemthing about him, he seemed different, she had never seen anyone other than royalty or priestly dress differently than everyone else.

She looked about quickly and picked up the tome she had been carrying. She slipped it under her arm as she looked back to him. "Sorry for the interruption..M'Lord..or are you a travelling priest? You are definitely not from around here."

She walked a little closer and smiled slightly. Her red hair was a mess and her dress hem torn from her fall. Her eyes were a deep green and seemed to sparkle slightly. She was somewhat short standing at about 5'2", slender almost too thin build, or so it would seem with the dress covering her up.

Thinking him more royalty then priestly, even though she really had no idea why since she didn't know for sure. As she stepped closer to him she stopped bowed her head and curtsied slightly as she introduced herself. "I am Sindera M'Lord. From the town of Lindell."

The young woman noticed three men hurrying down the road to her left as she rushed towards the clearing. She immediately noticed the young woman holding a book, and the young man. While he was quite attractive, he is clothing seemed a bit out of place. Upon entering the clearing, she noticed that it was not indeed a natural one, but appeared man-made, with some of the tops and branches broken off of the trees and surrounding shrubbery. Seeing the violent wrenching of the plant life around her, she grimaced, feeling slightly upest that someone or something had done this. Looking down at herself, she felt slightly embarassed at her appearance. He brown cloak was torn in several places, allowing a bit of her olive tanned skin to show through. She brushed herself off again, then checked her forehead, which had healed, apparently. Hrmm, that's odd. she thought. But she had little time to contemplate it, as the young woman had apparently heard her arrival and turned to face her. Whipping a strand of her thick brunnette locks out of her face, she stepped forward.

Changed my character a bit so that Night and I will have seperate character types. Also, I want you to have a bit of background on her, as you are probably wondering and I never posted any char descript. At the moment, her name is uknown, as are her origins and any special abilities she may have had. The reason for this is that she was in the vicinity of where the escape pod crashlanded, and a resulting gash on her head leaves her with very little memory to speak of. However, so you will be able to follow as her character develops, she was a druid in the forest, and despised all manmade objects, including cities. However, since she remembers little about her life before waking up, she will still tend to feel or act a certain way, though not in the same manner as she would have before. As for skills, she used to be a rather powerful druid. (not too powerful, mind you; probably level 20 in a scale of 1-50), but she remembers none of this. She still feels affinity for nature around her, but does not notice enough to understand why. She assumes that all people feel this way. And as noted in the first post, she has limited healing as a part of her reportoire of spells that she can't remember and wouldn't remember how to cast if she could remember them. But a body is an odd thing, retaining certain information it needs, even when we are unaware of it. Wow, that was a bit longer than I had originally intended. And thanks for letting me onboard again. Hope to see many adventures with both of you.

He watched the light hit one of the men and then his freinds gather him up and take him back to town. Well the girl could handle herself, though it sounded like more trouble was in store for her. He looked towards the girl as she introduced herself. She was cute, but now wasn't the time for a that.

"Umm..me? A priest? No, I'm not."

He mulled through his thoughts for a moment as she moved closer and bowed to him. He had taken a few minutes before entry to study the layout of the planet and remember that there was a smaller continent to the east, with a couple of towns, at least according to his version of size.

"I'm Fayt. I'm an engineer from the continet east of here. It's my pleasure."

He paused for a moment and gave a bow back to her. He fumbled for a moment to figure out were to put the sword, but realized he forgot the sheath. He looked up as a second girl in a tattered robe appeared from the bushes nearby.

"More company it seems."

Sindera was not familiar with the term engineer, so again assumed that he was now royalty. She bowed her head slightly, "Well M'Lord Lindell is not far from here..."

She looked in the direction Fayt did as the other woman stepped from the trees into the clearing. She recognized the woman's clothes and knew she was a druid of the area.

"Yes it would seem so, maybe she has come to check the damage to her trees." Sindera looked about briefly hoping the damage she noticed would not be attributed to her magic. She knew Druids could be very particular about their forests and all in them as well.

He'd been out hunting for food and new fur to refresh his clothing. High in the tree, bow was cocked back and ready to strike, all around was slient around the dark elf. It was then, all to sudden that everything happened. Sound of horses and screaming men scared his prey away, shortly after something...

"What the...."

came falling from skies, crashing through the trees into some clearing not far from where he was. Was about to jump down to gain a closer look, to see if.... whatever it was inside was injured.. dead.. or if it was something he would have to kill.
It was then he saw the figure step out,

"He seems to be of human kind... yet.. his clothing is odd.."

tilted his head as he began to move closer, watching as the man hid the unknown object. It was then that the woman came running by. Followed by those horses and men he heard earlier. With this he stayed hidden in the trees, watching with amusment as the girl casted a spell, making the men flee.

"Interesting."

Just then, off in the distance he noticed another female. One at first he couldn't place. There was something about her though that he feels he should remember about her. It was a mere feeling more than anything. Crept closer within the trees, hopeing to gain a better look at her.

"I've seen her before... but where? When?"

It was then he decided to jump down from the trees, it seemed clear enough of danger... So it appeared to be. Within moments there was an albino panther at his feet, walking with him towards the people. It wasn't like him at all to just go up to people in such a fashion, but he felt compelled to see if they were ok.

Assuming they don't kill him for his race.

Brushed back his white hair, crystal blue eyes looked over the strangers.. More at the female he felt he should know. His curiosity always got the best of him.

"Are you all ok? I was out hunting, seen ... certain things.. and I wanted to make sure that no one was injured."

Hopefully that'll make them not want to kill him. At the same time he was struggling, part of him wanted to leave these people alone. That other part... that part that was nagging him about this female. Even if he doesn't know her personally... he knows he has seen her before.

Gonna try to play a dude here. hehe..

Obviously hes aranger with some minor spells, nothing big. Mostly starting small fires and some light protection spells. He's been roaming the forest land for a good portion of his life. It was part of how they tested rangers into man hood. But, he fell in love with the woods and being so free that just never returned home. The albino panther he found when it was a cub, the mother was no where to be found, so he took it under his care.

He dresses similar to the cat. In black and white clothing. Black cloak and pants.. White leather tunic, and white mocasins. (sp)
Got white, silvery hair. Deep crystal blue eyes along with this deep midnight blue skin. Stands a little taller than most elves, about 5'9.

I'm not sure as to where I'm going with him knowing the druid or not just yet. But, I figured it gave him reason enough to show up in the picture. /innocent look.
Well... hope ya enjoy him. lol.. if not, i'll take him out..

Wow, now I'm flattered. Hrmm, an elf ranger with a panther pet. Sounds familiar... lol. Jk, btw. Archers are always fun characters to play, especially when they have a huge hunting cat follow them around. Anyways, welcome aboard *wait, this isn't even your thread... oh well, welcome anyways! lol* Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. The reason I went with druid is because of their, um, unique, spell list. With spells like barkskin, or regrowth, with control over plants and vines... Mmm, this could get fun, heh heh.

~IC~

The young woman turned to acknowledge the darkskinned being approaching them. Wow, this is getting to be quite a gathering

"Hello, I heard some shouting over here, and thought that someone needed assistance. It would seem that everything is under control, however," she said, grinning. "Might I know your names?" She felt like the dark one might remind her of someone she once knew, long ago. Besides, he was a cutie, what with those pointy ears and all.

Sindera looked to the Druid as she spoke.. she was about to introduce herself when the dark elf stepped from the trees along with the panther.

She spoke in hushed tones, "Wow...." a slight smile spread across her lips.. two men in one day, both nice looking and neither trying to kill her, that she felt was always a plus.

"Well I guess introductions would be in order. I am Sindera.. from Lindell." She looked to Fayt and then the two newcomers.

Fayt scratched his head for a moment as he looked around at the others, happy that at least there were others here. He took a few moments to study the ranger and then the albano panther, wondering what to make of it.

"I'm Fayt. Fayt Leingod. I hope that this isn't a bad time."

He stepped over to Sindera, looking at her torn dress.

"Are you ok? and what just happened?"

She seemed to be a little innocent, but that was just what he thought. He looked over towards the druid for a moment and then back towards Sindara.

Sindera looked to Fayt.. "I am fine M'Lord. And as to what happened... I retireved my book from where I left it in the library... those men thought I had stolen it, and instead of asking me about it..they decided I needed to be punished for stealing it."

She brushed off her dress which had tore in a few places with her run through the forest and her fall. She looked up to him through the few stray strands of hair in her eyes. "They are always looking for reasons to harrass me.. the book is mine, I had just left it there yesterday and went to retrieve it today."

Something about the way Sendera said that made her a bit suspicious. But, after all, she had no reason to think otherwise. And there were more important things on her mind. Looking to the trees and shrubbery that had been severely damaged, she felt a bit distressed.

"What happened here? I mean, did you do this? Sendera, isn't it? I heard a loud noise before I came this way. So was it you that hurt these poor trees? Wait, no! Oh I am sorry for jumping to conclusions like that. It was those men, wasn't it? Stupid fools!" she shouted in the direction they had run. "Then it was a good thing your ran them off. Poor trees!"

She wished there was something she could do to help them, but couldn't think of anything. Noticing a fallen branch at the outskirts of the clearing, she went a picked it up. "Well, better not let this go to waste," she said, eyeing the strong branch. This will make a nice walking staff, she decided, her handing finding a nice groove in the bark to rest. Very nice.

Turning back to the others, she walked up to the panther. Letting her hand come to rest on its neck, she scratched deeply under its ears and between the shoulderblades. Looking up towards the dark-skinned man, she smiled. "Cute kitty," she said, smirking at his puzzled expression. "Wow, and an owner to match. What's your name, oh mysterious Dark-Skinned One?"

Slanglant

He smirked for a moment at her comment... cute kitty.. pfft.. if only he understood words..

"I'm not his owner... companions is more of the right word. And as far as my name goes.. it is Slanglant. I come from the far northern lands. And here is Luathas."

Though, it did confuse him to great lengths that she was able to touch Luathas so quickly, perhaps it was because she was a druid. Most druids have a touch that any animal would comply with.

Slanglant did have to admit that she was pretty, so was the other one, despite the torn clothing they both wore. The druid though, she appeared to have blood on her forehead, yet no wound?

Glanced back towards the trees, whispered a small chant for the loss and damage done to them.

"Nae, it was not the men, nor ... Sindera? Was it?... It was this man here... Fayt?.. He was in something the came from the skies.."

snuck a quick look over to the where he saw the man hid thing. At first Slanglant was going to reveal it, but, he faught that curious side. Just the like cat, his curiousity always got the better of him.

"Are you some kind of .. magic user? I've never seen such a thing fly. Cept for dragons and this was no dragon...."

Looked up at the human, never trust a human. They were all evil..

Luthas on the other hand, he was loving the attention that this female brought. Slanglant shook his head.

Luthas, you are one of hell of a flirt... Your far to easy...

"My apologies.. I do not wish to accuse you.. fayt.. It is just unknown to me to see what I saw. But, if you wish to keep such information to yourself, I can understand."

"Looks like things are well .. as well as they can be... I should probably make my leave. I am not to welcomed in these lands."

Slanglant was about to start walking before noticing the big furball wasn't about to leave. For Luthas has layed down, his big head on the girls lap. All Slanglant could do was sigh..

"Only figures..."

OOC~

Yea, well... I think rangers rock hehe.. I really didn't want to take your idea from the other thread. But, well, what I can I say. My kitty is better than yours.. neener neener.... lol..

Fayt smiled that Sindera was ok and glanced over towards Slanglet when he mentioned coming from the skies. Now he had to explain himself. He thought quickly before answering carefully.

"Magic-user? Um..no. I'm an engineer from the continent to the east of this one. We were testing a new machine and I ended up here. I'm kinda stuck. I'm sorry about the mess."

He lifted the blade of his sword and laid it flat against his shoulder as he looked between the others.

Sanglant threw a puzzled look towards the strange one. He didn't seem like the type that could that sword. Hell, he didn't have have a belt or hilt to place it in.

"Interesting..."

Knowing that there was a strange city off to the east, they were always digging into things that were just way out of the ordinary, but this was just not right. For now, he would settle with the answer that was given.

In the far off distance, still to far for human ears, Slanglant heard the hounds howling. They were after him....

"Bout time... fools.."

mumbled under his breath, hopeing the others didn't catch it.

"Well... I pose an offer for the three of you. If you so desire that is. Men and their hounds are gaining ground."

"One, they are either after the girl, which they feel have stolen from them."
"Two, they are coming to check what I saw, the thing that fell from the sky."
"Finally, they are after me. As I said, I am not welcomed here. So, that leaves the three of us, unwelcomed and should move from this spot soon..."

Slanglant bent down to one knee, nudging Luthas to stand up. He took the druids hand to help her up, within that moment a flash ran through his eyes, the past. It was far to quick to really catch any details, it was then his eyes locked onto hers. There definatly was something about her, if only he could figure it out.

" In the next town I have some dealings I have to attend... I can make sure all of you will have a place to stay, fresh clothes, and hot baths.... I will lead you there and keep you safe along the way....."

Slanglant spoke to all three, but his eyes held hers. The sounds of the hounds grew closer, distrupting his thoughts. Shook his head, kissed the top of hand. Moved to take Sinderas' hand and kissed the top of it as well in respect. Bowed to Fayt.

"I suggest you guys get moving soon... those hounds are getting closer. And, the sun will be setting within a few hours. The forest is not a nice place to be at night."

"Less of course... you wish to spend the night wit the city guards, in a cold cell, awaiting for severe punishment..."

Spoke a few words and the next thing the party knew, they were at least two inches off the ground. It was then Slanglant started running into the trees. Hopeing that they would follow in his lead.

Sindera blushed a little as the dark elf kissed her hand. She looked towards the sounds of the beying dogs. She felt if it were the men returning she was definitely in trouble. The elf's words seemed smarter then the choice of returning to her small home.

"I agree we shoudl go with him to the next town for now." She looked to Fayt, "We can come back later for your craft." She wasn't sure what to call it but that semed to fit.

As Sanglant muttered the words of his spell, Sindera was impressed. She reached into her pouch as she began a soft chant as well. She loved her cantrips.. they usually did no harm but were useful. On the ground at the group's feet she spread a light powder. Then looked after Sanglant.

"That should hide our scent for a little while." She looked to the druid, who asof ye had not given her name, and to Fayt. "Let's go before they catch up." She turned and followed Sanglant.

He hadn't heard the dogs just yet, but the way the others were acting, it was best he followed suit. He watched the ranger and Sindera, still impressed.

"Yeah, I think that would be a good idea."

He ran after Sindera, being carefully with his sword. He held it out to the side at an angle, though he was careful to keep it from getting snagged. Following after Sindera also gave him a good chance to look her over from behind, and he rather enjoyed the view.

Slanglant.... Hmmm... Now there is a nice masculine name for ya. This could get interesting. And his panther is adorable! Of course, he didn't seem too happy that it took such a liking to me.

The young woman let her hand be taken by the dark elf as she stood up. Hmmm, nice rough hands on this one. she thought, as her gaze drifted up his muscular arms and torso. She looked into his face for a moment, their eyes locking as he said something about hounds and needing to leave. She, however was a bit to captivated to pay attention to the words leaving his mouth. Suddenly, he leaned over and placed a small kiss on the back of her hand, above the knuckle. Blushing slightly, she looked back down to the snow white panther, breaking the moment's spell. He moved over to Sindera, also kissing her, though she noticed that he didn't take as long with her.

Wow, I wonder if he caught all that too? "What do you think," she asked the panther as she scratched under it's milky chin. She leaned over and placed a quick kiss between its ears, grinning at the discomfort she must be causing the elf behind her. Suddenly, she heard him muttering a few words and she was instantly hovering slightly above the ground.

Whoah! she thought, jumping to her feet and turning to the others. Luathas also stood and padded over to Slanglant. As the others began leaving, she decided it would be a good idea to follow. Glancing around again at the poor plants around her, she decided that she might have to exchange a few words with that guy Fayt. Umm, maybe later. she thought, hearing the low howl of hounds behind her. Picking up her torn robes as best she could, she hurried the way the others had gone, trying to catch up.

~OOC~
Just a quick note, guys. If someone could please bring up soon that you still don't know my character's name, that would be a big help, heh. I feel like the whole "she, woman, her" bit is wearing a bit thin, and would like to give her a name. Besides, she is the only one who didn't intriduce herself to the others in the clearing. Anyways, loving the characters so far.

As they ran Slanglant realized that he didn't catch her name. It was that touch of her skin that distracted him from asking, that instant flashback ceased his thoughts. Then the hounds, the sound of those hounds made him not think of it again...

Damn it!! Didn't even catch her name..... And Luthas? What was that all about... he never lets another touch him? He acted as if he knows her..... as if she was apart of his .. our.. life at one point... but when? Must get her name..

Slanglant smiled as he sensed they were following him. It wasn't in his nature to help other people out.. specially humans. For they have to no respect of things, its all about them. Then, he figured;
theres two women out here, one seems as if she was injured to some extent, the others is being hunted, and that man.... that man is definatly not from around here. He would get lost, bring more danger to the women, if he was to roam into town, he would be questioned.

Slaglant sighed as he ran. Running was nothing for him and while being above ground, it made it easier. Sometimes he wished he levitate higher than two inches, but, it does the trick. Keeps his scent of the ground and the tracks of his and Luthas at bay.

"We should hit the town just as night falls...."

called back to the others, sound of his voice carried over to them like the wind. Luthas at first hung back with the druid, making sure that she would come with. Once she started moving and caught up, Luthas ran ahead of the party as if he was scouting the path for danger.

After about an hour of runing at a steady pace, Luthas stopped a few feet from the river bank, ears back, crouching down ready to attack. The boat that took people across the river was in flames and off to the right there was laughter, at first Slanglant couldn't reconize it, it didn't sound human and there was at least two others with it.

Damn, this guy is like a machine. She grinned, chuckling inwardly at the sly play on words. She glanced ahead at the dark-skinned elf that was leading them through the woods, though at a pace that she found hard to keep up with. A devious smile crept into her lips as she let her mind wander. Wow, he just keeps going, and going, and... Damn, I've got to push harder. Can't let him outlast me!

The inuendos slipped through her mind, as she smirked behind the rest of the group. Seriously, though, I had better speed up, or I'm gonna get left. It's just this damned robe. It's so hard to run in. She pulled at the torn cloth as she ran, trying to keep it from getting tangled in her legs. Ripping off a piece that was barely hanging on to the rest of the material, she had an idea.

She looked ahead and noticed that the rest of the group had stopped up ahead. Dashing into the woods to her right, she quickly removed the long robe and tore off the left sleeve. Ripping it in half, she quickly slid the circular peice of material over her head and down past her waist. It was actually a rather nice fit, and let her long tanned legs move freely, with the loose material falling halfway down her thighs.

As she began ripping up the other sleeve, she noticed a flash of white to her right. Slanglant's panther crept up slowly behind her. She gave him a wink, then put a finger to her lips. "Sshh! Don't tell, hee hee." Then, ripping at the other sleeve, she tore off a long piece, about half the width of the last. Folding it over, she wrapped it around her waist and tied it off at her left hip. Wouldn't do very well to have your "skirt" falling off at a critical moment, now would it? I guess your under tunic will have to do for now, as I doubt this robe will support you very well Her medium sized breasts were bound tightly to her chest with a brown peice of cloth that wrapped around her back and over her small shoulders.

Discarding the torn robe, she stood up and grabbed her staff. Heh, I'm sure the others are wondering where I am by now. she thought, stepping back onto the path. Turning to see Luathas following her, she whispered, "Come on, we'd better hurry."

Sanglant noticed that Luathas crept off to the side, he assumed that he was sneaking in to check out what was laughing. Some other noise crept in from behind, some ripping of material, yet, no screams or struggling followed it. This confused him a bit.

Glancing over his shoulder just in time to see Luathas walk out from behind the bushes with the druid.

"Least hes watching ONE of us.... big furball..... Hey! Wait a minute? Wasn't she just wearing a robe? .... Have to admit she looks better without it... .. grrrr stop it! This isn't the time for that kind of thought..."

Though, the new appearance of her kept his gaze on her a little longer than intended, it brought in another flashback, this one lasting just a little longer than before...

It was her in his arms and she was crying ...

Getting irritated with these little flashes everytime he looked at her. Shooked his head snapping himself out of the trance, made a small noise to get Luathas back up to his side. Whispered into the cats ear, shortly the cat was off in the woods.

"Looks like we are going to have to find another way across... but, it also appears that something is close by. So, be alert in case we have to fight..."

Looked back towards where Luathas ran off till the whit blur was out of sight. The bond that held them together would tell if the other is in danger, which always put Slanglant at ease.
Turning his attention back to where the laughter was, for now it was just low grumbling, as if they were talking to eachother.
