It should start with the following platform points to restore jobs and renew America for the benefit of all her citizens:

Reduce legal immigration to common sense levels (less than 200,000 per year).

Require federal eVerify checks for all jobs, with criminal sanctions for employers who knowingly hire illegals.

Re-negotiate or abrogate the "free" trade treaties of the last 30 years. Fair trade with tariffs to equalize costs of doing business in the US with overseas.

End the no-win wars overseas and spend the money on infrastructure here at home.

E-Verify is good, the "no-win" wars have been won and drawn down and the rest is stupid. Still an improvement over your usual post.

Most specific social/moral issues would be left as "matters of conscience" to individual candidates.

"Free" trade is actually the biggest issue facing the economy.

Also, we take the equivalent of the population of Wyoming in legal immigrants every three months. A bit out of control? I'd say so.

I was thinking of starting a party. I would call it the Rational Party, or Rat party for short.

Republicans sneeking in more legal foreign worker visas in amnesty bill for big business buddies:

Gang of Eight bill would swell annual legal immigration levels

...The plan also calls for across-the-board increases in employment-based visas. The number of highly-skilled workers would likely double, along with increases in low-skilled and agriculture categories. The Gang's proposed guest worker program, for instance, could add an additional 200,000 temporary workers each year, but individuals close to the negotiations have said that temporary guest workers can get green cards after a set amount of time.

Because there aren't enough unemployed Americans already.

A party to represent American citizens of all backgrounds interests first. I think its time. Perhaps I'll start it myself.

I have a grass skirt that I bought in Florida and have never worn. There's just not much call for it. I think it's Libertarian.

Increasing population through immigration or just more babies growing up doesn't cause unemployment.

Well as long as you feel he is ok with it. Tiny Bubbles it is!

Side note, Jake Shimabuka (sp?) plays a mean uke! His bohemian raphsody is divine!

He is more than amazing. He does a version of While My Ukulele Gently Weeps that makes me cry.

Haha. I do own a few grass skirts and coconut bras since I followed Buffett around the country for a few years. Sadly my grass skirts are now down to only a blade or two and are a bit too revealing. But who wears underwear with a grass skirt?

Coconut bras are really irritating.

That's not even the word. I mean chest splinters are a bitch. And all that milk they hold! I mean can't a man lactate in public anymore?

You just want the Republican Party to be more overtly xenophobic. Their recent love for a moderate tone on immigration is frustrating you. I have no idea why though, the GOP is more xenophobic as ever, they're just not talking about what they actually believe as much.

On your first point alone you'd be anti-business.
