Before I attempt this I want to be sure I'm doing this right *weg*

I washed a pair of new jeans, then hemmed them. Putting the hem in stretched their tight fit a bit (hands up the leg, inside out etc). So, do I have to wash them again or can I just put them in the dryer on high for a while? I want them to be tight once again.

Thanks!

Putting them in the dryer dry isn't going to shrink them any. Getting the fibers completely soaked (you could even do this in the sink/tub and wring them out) then drying them with heat should do the trick.

Hmmm. Thanks :)

I like your idea of the sink as I do not trust the College's washer any more than I trust moldy bread. One time the dang apparatus bleached a shirt of mine when I didn't even add bleach but the sink seems like a genius idea. Plus I can save my coinage and make them fit!

I had that happen more than once in public/college machines. It's usually a result of someone spilling bleach or pouring it directly in the machine, I think. Lingerie and nice clothes had a habit of disappearing, too.

The good news? You'll be really, REALLY thankful when you have your very own washer and dryer! After YEARS of living in dorms and tiny apartments, we were never so glad to buy appliances. Sometimes I still get giddy when using them, even after a year and a half. :D

These washers have this nasty habit of locking once you select your cycle. You can't change your mind about what you put into the wash after that point. Thankfully College ids are still usable after a washing, lol.

I get giddy these days when I have a private bath area. You really don't realize what those little things mean until you lose them over night. I love it when I can have that kind of privacy to shower and be all girly~
