Is anyone else sick of hearing about Tiger Woods. All you ever hear about is Tiger this and Tiger that. Now he is on an increasing number of commercials.

Sure he is a great golfer and has great character. But I get tired of hearing his name. I got sick of hearing about Michael Jordan about 8 years ago and stopped watching the NBA about the same time.
What is it about TV that they have to do this to people? It's not Woods's fault, it's the sports journalists and marketing people.

It's gotta be esp...

I've just come in, logged into Lit, turned on the TV at whatever channel I'd turned it off at, and the first words I heard was Tiger Woods.

Mind you the channel was tuned into sport and the item that's appeared is news of the Lytham Open Championship. It would have been surprising if I hadn't heard his name.

Just as a footnote. Apparantly he's not doing so well at the moment in the open and he was being interviewed about it.

He came across as a very personable young man. Carrying his bad run with humour and maturity. Never having heard him before I was A1 impressed.

And what a broad natural grin! Nice bloke all round.

i like him, too. He has good humor, confidence and some humility, unlike michael jordan's cool arrogance

I just get sick of hearing about him all of the time. I like filet mignon wrapped in bacon a lot too, but id get sick of it if i ate it in every meal.

i imagine that as a Brit you keep some smug happiness at him not doing as hot in the British Open

LOL

My private face can sometimes be far different from my public face. Now if it was a one on one with Tiger Woods and, let's say, Nick Faldo. Smugness wouldn't come into it - I'd be rootin' for our boy as loud as I could.

Come on you Brits!

Tiger, Tiger, burning bright

It's not Tiger's fault, it's the media. They continually practice overkill. If you'd ever had dealings with the media, you'd understand, 99.5% of them never had an original thought in their lives. They all have a "heard" mentality, as in I've heard of that somewhere so I think I, too, will do a story on it!

Seems like every time I've seen him on TV today, he's been waist deep in a hole clubbing sand with a metal stick.

But I suppose we all have to earn a living one way or another.:)

Hmmm, let's see, Tiger Woods........

Nope, not on the news here.. he didn't visit the Gold Club, doesn't beat up his girlfriends, hasn't been arrested for drugs, isn't yelling at the officials...

Let them keep talking about Tiger Woods, maybe some of the other crap will finally go to the back burner.
