Ths great coffee debate.

Let us Southerners teach you how to drink "proper" tea ;)

Sweet and iced :D

That’s poison. Tea should be made by pouring boiling water over loose tea or a tea bag, left for about 5 minutes before removing the bag, add milk and sugar if you have to and drink whilst still hot.

Tea made the English way is the only way to drink it.

Ooohhhhh a thread I feel a 1000% able to be part of. I work at an organic fair trade coffee roastery.
Also. .tolyk....we ship all over canada...and the Hawaiian's buy OUR coffee...it's that good;) just sayin!

Pour over is my favourite way to make my coffee every morning...yum.

Yeah, but I get mine for a really good price in bulk.... :p send me the info some time though ;)

Yorkshire Tea
Twinings

They're my brands of choice. PGTips is served most places it seems.

Yorkshire Tea (in the red box, preferably, rather than the gold) is my favorite "basic black tea". Of course, as an American, I often drink it iced (but never sweetened). I have a lot of other interesting loose teas (oolongs, East Friesan, Assams, etc.).

I like coffee, especially with lots of milk (again, never sweetened). I am not a fan of Starbucks. I do use a Keurig at work, but prefer the lattes my husband makes me some mornings. Peet's coffee is great, and I got majorly hooked on it when I lived in the Bay area.

I also like flavored coffee, especially the nut flavored ones. Heresy, I know.

Here's my friendly soap box psa...pods are bad...bad bad bad...for the environment and usually aren't recyclable even if they say they are.
Pour over or Chemex. .or single brewers peeps...one cup..no waste..yum yum.yum...
*climbs off soap box*
Xoxox

I concur on what you said about the pods.
I also concur that pour over drip coffee maker along the lines of a Chemex, made a cup at a time being superior in flavor.

I’ll second this. 😀

I’m an espresso drinker with a square of chocolate on the side.

I suspect that there's a possibility you've never had fresh iced tea made from Luzianne tea, either sweet or unsweetened. The secrete is its got to be fresh and served in a tall ice filled glass. If you don't like to use cane sugar than honey works perfectly.

Bottled iced tea is an abomination and most iced tea served in restaurants is pretty awful as well. But when someone knows how to make it right its delicious and its indigenous to the South.

But as for hot tea I concur its best steeped in a tea pot.

DeLonghi bean to cup machine and coffee from Higgins. Can’t compromise on coffee.

I do also have one of those insulated coffee mug/cafetière things for when I’m forced to be further than walking distance from the kitchen...

I just got me a coffee grinder and I've been using a French press. These are two things I absolutely love. The Mr. Coffee drip pot I use is fine but I've been wanting to step up the quality.

Lately I've been on a Bulletproof coffee kick. Great stuff.

I live in the Seattle area so you'd think I'd be big into coffee. I'm not. If I do drink it, it's something cheap like Folgers and drip. Not into fancy stuff and black only. I much prefer tea.

Well goddamn. I got some studying to do.

If you want to make it stupid simple then just buy a Bunn coffee maker. If you want a single serve coffee maker that doesn't use pods or require paper filters then get a Hamilton Beach Single serve Coffee maker. Both will make coffee in less than three minutes that's delicious. The Bunn costs a little more but its a good investment. The HB is my daily go to now unless I have guests.

I stroke for Mr. coffee.
But I don't drink an 8oz cup.
More like a 20oz mug.so those single fucky things are dead to me.

I love my little red 3 cup stovetop espresso maker. I think everyone in my family has their own version-lol!

Say NO to BUNN...it's evil! Especially if it's the glass carafe that sits on a burner...no no no...lol

I will! Also...
Staff discount ;)

How do you think sweet tea is made oh wise one? Remove the milk...put it in a fridge and drink it cold...you have your recipe

I dated a girl years ago... I had never heard of a Keurig before, and she had one. I gave her a bunch of crap for paying 200 bucks for a coffee pot.. after using it.. well, I had one the next week and I have used a Keurig every day since then. I wouldn't trade it for anything..

My wife got me to start drinking coffee black.. and after a year, it's totally the way to go.

I tried hot tea when I was in England.. it sucks ass. Give me cold tea any time!!:)
