I am partial to an automatic drip.
(That's what he said...;) oh hush up...you fiends)
But a French press is lovely...I feel a little schnazzy when I use it.
Keurig? Have you seen the inside of those machines? Yikes!
Never used netspresso

Oh and Peets is my fav.

Come chat..what do you like?
I suppose I need to live a little mm.

And yes....its another mindless Badamy thread. Which has a shelf life of about 3 days.

I like, but don’t own, an automatic drip. I have the hopper kind of coffee machine, like baristas use, but it doesn’t get used as often as my cafetiĆØre (that’s what it should be called šŸ˜‚)

I have a cute cup that acts like its own cafetiere, where you put the coffee in, add the water, then once ready simply push down the plunger and drink. It helps that I like mine black, so don’t need to add milk afterwards.

I also grind my own coffee from beans - fresher that way.

I have an automatic drip coffee maker. I got a coffee grinder a couple of years ago for Christmas so I started grinding my own beans and haven't gone back. Just tastes better to me than already ground coffee.

I use an Aeropress - perfect for a single cup and so quick and easy.
However, there has been nothing to touch my old Senseo machine

Shelf life of 3 days? That's about the same as the coffee at Jiffy Lube.

I actually like Keurig coffee. It's the easiest way to get close to the flavor you're looking for and it comes in cup sizes so you don't have to make a whole pot. Now I can have coffee in the evening. As far as what builds up in the Keurig, we'll just call that "seasoning" like what you do with a cast iron pan. We'll call it Keurig's umami.

Home auto drip just can't replicate what you get when you go to a coffee shop, or at least that's my experience. It's nice, but is anyone really aiming for "nice?"

Peets may as well just serve you a cup of coffee grounds. I'm sure there's stronger coffee out there somewhere but that's by far the strongest I've ever had.

I grind my own beans, but use a drip machine. We typically buy Hawaiian beans these days.

Own a French press, rarely gets used. Coffee is rarely something we have time to savour :p

I have both a Keurig & a Tassimo which I personally don't like. It's for company who wants a coffee.
Tim Horton's or nothing for me

I use an auto drip, which has the extra advantage of a built in timer so my coffee can be ready when I wake up. A friend in Texas sent me some Cafe Ole Pecan coffee which is delicious and I order some as a treat sometimes.

And as an aside, I am probably in the minority, but I can't stand Starbucks.

I grew up in a household where the electric percolator was king and as soon as I was out on my own went with an electric drip coffee maker. Either were and are capable of making entirely tolerable coffee if the person using them purchases a good brand of ground coffee or coffee beans.

For camping I used a stove top percolator for a long time and then went with a Melitta Coffee Maker cone and its filters. Now I have a six cup glass carafe set up that they sell for when the powers out. It makes excellent drip coffee as well.

I've used and owned French press coffee set ups, still have one somewhere or other, but they aren't as great as people insist they are IMHO.

For sheer beauty, artistic elegance and its excellent filters I keep contemplating a Chemex.

I had Tim Horton's coffee for the first time on a road trip and had such high expectations that it would be like Dunkin Donuts. Admittedly it left me disappointed. I did later have it at Pearson and it was better but not quite there to Dunkin standards.

cafetiere here with espresso beans freshly ground.
Also have a gaggia pod machine which is gathering dust as I hate descaling and cleaning it regularly.

Ours has a grinder on top and then drips into the carafe. Plenty of local coffee roasters around.

I don't know if its a minority with respect to Starbucks because I can't stand their coffee either. In fact I rarely even venture forth to any coffee shop because I prefer my coffee with either a small splash of 2% milk or black. I don't like flavored coffees.

Dont drink coffee but i couldnt help posting in an amy thread. Now my day is compkete and i havent even got out of bed

Ooohhhhh a thread I feel a 1000% able to be part of. I work at an organic fair trade coffee roastery.
Also. .tolyk....we ship all over canada...and the Hawaiian's buy OUR coffee...it's that good;) just sayin!

Pour over is my favourite way to make my coffee every morning...yum.

I usually buy my coffee on the way into work:
Iced white chocolate americano with almond milk.
(Iced all year round because I can’t drink when I’m working, so I put it in the fridge and drink it slowly over time. I used to get hot, but heating and reheating over and over was tedious)

After my bought coffee is consumed, I drink the drivel proffered in the lounge which is a drip that is so strong it burns your eyes when you sip it. I add a bit of milk and it’s passable.

At home, I have a French press and use only beans we hand grind (raven’s brew these days).

Okay, so honestly? I’ll drink anything marked ā€œcoffeeā€ from anywhere because it is the elixir of life.

Good morning sweetie...

Im not a coffee drinker at all...I love my tea though...

I do have a Keurig though...but what does the inside look like?...LOL...:D

I lurve coffee. I am the only one in my house who drinks it, so I just use (Wegmans) ground coffee beans and an automatic drip machine. I used to have a fancy machine that would both grind and brew coffee. It smelled soooo good. But it was a pain to clean, so now I just keep it simple. I have a small keurig in my classroom for emergencies.

Generally when an auto drip coffee maker is producing bitter or truly awful coffee its because its overdue for a cleaning. I looked inside one such machine once and once I saw the mold and filth was shocked.
The other thing is going cheap on the filters or using overly hard water that's chemical content makes it awful. But people are going to be people and will drink awful coffee if there's nothing else available.
