I've come to the conclusion that either this type of story is rare, or I'm just terrible at searching Literotica for them. I've tried all sorts of tag search combinations, and the best stories I've found have just been through luck.

Specifically, I'm looking for stories with a long-term/committed polycule stories that don't devolve into making the biggest freaking harem in the history of literature. I have a few examples:
Come Home with Us - Ian_Snow (Gold standard of the type of thing I'm talking about)
Christmas Unicorn - Trionyx (Another fantastic story)
Triad - SteveWallace (8 part series, has some incest and infidelity in later chapters)
The Twin Sister Solution - LateStageInfernalism (Incest/Taboo, but it fits the theme)
Double or Nothing - other2other1 (5 part series, primarily LW category, but the side story of Terry, Harmony, and Melody fit)

It is FAR more common to find threesomes in the Group Sex category, even though those are usually a committed couple that find a unicorn for one night of fun (like A Trick for Their Treat - lovecraft68). Nothing wrong with those, but they tend to focus on the physical interactions and ignore the complex relationship when three or more people choose to live together.

Bonus points for stories where there are limited options due to the setting. I found a story once where a guy and two women are shipwrecked on an island, so their options are to get along or go without, and I love seeing how the author chose to play out the situation.

Oh, and nonhuman is fine, too, so I'll include Upon a Savage Shore - RipperFish and similar stories.

Any other throuple fans want to chime in with your favorites?

(My Summer Wine features a romantic creation of a throuple, but isn't set long-term.)
Fantastic! There's a lot going on in this story, but I devoured the first part in one sitting and was quite charmed by John, Honey, and Jennifer. Thanks!

It's only fair that I toss in my own take in response: An Unplanned Bonding. Like yours, the throuple isn't the focus of the story, but a side effect of it.

Let's see. Of my work, Getting Busy, Hot Rod Honeys, A Fortunate Man are all poly stories of one sort or another. Link in my sig line.
