There is a new fun (to some of us) game at lit, in which some of us posters try to make the first post to new threads. Some of our esteemed colleagues don't really care for this game, so in an effort to keep from upsetting those of you, I have started this thread, in which you can state here that you do not care for your threads to be first post(ed) to. This way, those of us who like to play the game, can do so without intruding into someones thread who does not like the first post game.

first....did you start this again???

woooohoooo I did it!!! *happy dance

*bouncy bouncy bouncy

Just in case no one looks at the other one again. I'd prefer to be on the NOT list.

Have fun though.

Yes, the reason being that first one got so sidetracked, it was pointed out to me that most of those who would not like their threads first posted, would probably not wad through 3 pages just to say dont first post me.

oh.......sorry about that!:(

Well, since you asked...

I thought it was annoying when SD412 started first-posting people, and I find it even more annoying now that many others have jumped on the bandwagon.

I didn't find it a big enough deal to say anything about, but since you're now asking, it would be nice if people would refrain from it on any thread I started. :)

STP, I give you credit for being so accommodating and trying to sort out this little problem, nice job.

I just can't believe there are a few who are so petty as to make this little bit of fun a few have to be such an issue. If this were a kindergarten class one of the adults would stand up now and say, "Play nice children, you must learn to share".

I've played a couple times, I won't any more. Those of you who do, when I start a thread please jump on with your "FP", once I hit the submit button it is no longer "My" thread, it is all of yours.

Rhumb:cool:

Thanks for your feed back Rhumb. Lit is sposed to be a place for everyone to enjoy themselves, and some just don't like the game taking place in their threads, and I respect them for saying so. In an effort to keep it fun for all of us, I came up with this thread. Anyone who doesn't want to be first posted, can come here and let us know kindly, and they will be put on a list so that those of us who do, can avoid infringing on their enjoyment of our hangout.

I don't mind it. It's a fad, it'll blow over eventually.

I would like to request that "First Posters" do a little policing of themselves and consider the topic of the thread prior to injecting their fun into it.

Some threads aren't fun. They aren't designed to be. Some are serious and "First Post" is in very bad taste.

So, go ahead and "First Post," but please exercise some judgement when you do it.

Thank you.

Thank you for weighing in here KM. You also raise some excellent points. I do try to atleast have a reply for the thread in question, and also steer clear of the very serious threads. I have made some errors in judgment, which prompted me to start this thread.

At the risk of sounding like a party pooper, I find the whole thing irritating.

Don't worry about it lisa, everyone has their own opinions and tastes. This is just about respecting the wishes of others. You will be added to the list.

Have a great time posting :)
