Thread Ratings?

In the upper right hand corner, just under the page numbers of any given forum thread, there is a place to click to "rate" the thread. It looks like this:

I am curious as to what happens to that thread rating after it is checked and voted; is there a place where the votes are 'tallied', so one could see how popular a particular thread is?

Guess I have too much time on my hands today....

If you look down the list of threads on the main page you'll see some of them have those little silver squares on them showing the thread rating.

Put your cursor arrow over the silver squares and it tells you how many votes the thread has.

Thanks, but I get nothing when I hover over those squares. Maybe it is the browser I use, which is Chrome?
