I think it could be fun to use this OOC thread for a more casual RP based on what's in the main thread. Side by side. We could do it in shorter posts or in the form of conversation. Let's try it.

So Venus is walking up to the restaurant in front. Let's follow them.
I see Karl is only about two steps behind her and Mars and Katie.....goodness, they look like a pair behind Karl. What do you think about Venus's dress ? I think Karl picked that one and put it on for her, remember ? In her bedroom.
When they sit down at the table. You and I would sit with them. I don't think any of the characters would talk to us. If you want to talk to them you may go to the main thread. This would be mostly just between you and me.

The soon to be ex-wife. I tried, I really tried. Took her to a show but it dawned on me in the middle act. We're never getting back together. She's got a boyfriend and I'm...
Anyways. She wanted to try this new restaurant and I got reservations. The show ended and frankly all I wanted to do was dump her ass and go get a drink...
Screw it. See it through. We drove to the place. Nice place but... getting bad vibes about this place. I mean okay, it's new and needs customers. But really! Place is empty.
"I've read good things about these guys, come on, let's try it" the soon to be ex coos into my ear.
Well what the hell. If the food is any good maybe my mood will change. And our luck. Besides that dress on the lone woman inside the place. That's worth sitting around for. Hope other couples show up though.
The soon to be ex wife orders her drink and when I'm asked I say "I'll take..."

Well, actually, I am just an outsider but I have some idea about what's inside. From my understanding of the situation so far is that you are one of the major players in what's going on between your wife Venus and your employee Karl. I even suspect you were the one that set up this whole thing. I have no doubt that you were the one that made the reservations.
