Thoughts on the Left and its Antisemitism

The Left considers itself the intellectual touchstone of culture.

The Jewish have a long tradition of scholarship and intellectualism.

For the gentile Leftist then, the Jew is not so much a comrade as competition.

The Left disdains the Right as its intellectual inferior but hates the Jews as their intellectual equal.

(Furthermore, judging by the state of our universities in light of recent protests, maybe even their intellectual superiors.)

I didn't realize you were the authority on the left. Neat.

shut the fuck up, cap'n hypocreep.

because the maggots and nazi righties are antisemitic, it's their duty to project that onto the left of the political spectrum.

complaints against the treatment of Palestinians is not the same as antisemitism, but it is being repeatedly framed as such

news alert: there are stupid and ignorant people in all walks of life, from left to right and central, from Jewish to Islamic to Catholic, just as there are intelligent people (for better or worse) across the same.

You're right. Some of them are even fat mail order brides from the UK.

Derpy's unwarranted superiority complex is one of the most unintentionally funny things on this board.

it's like little dogs... they're fearful of so many things it makes them yap and snarl in an aggressive manner that's mostly laughable to the observer as they jump about seeking attention and reassurance.

nah. we already know he's stupid so it's not like i need it confirmed again

Oh, I'm sorry, do you feel insulted by something I said?

Well then, I apologize for stating inconvenient facts.

*chuckle*

Someone stuck a stick in the woke ant hill.

To me it raises an ancillary question, Why are so many Jewish people allied with the Left? Hmmm?

Perhaps, "they" mistakenly think that scholarship and intellectualism makes them natural allies with the Left, but remember, Germany was the intellectual leader of Europe and the Jews thought they had a home among equals and like-minded thinkers and had to learn the hard way that they were the enemies.

Also, why is it that the same people supporting Hamas and/or condemning Israel for the current state of affairs coming into the conversation with an a priori fallacy that even though they are supporting antisemitism, it is the other side of the aisle that is really the true antisemites? Isn't this a perfect example of blaming others for that which you are actually guilty of?

I think we need no better example of the Left's antisemitism than the testimony of the Harvard President yesterday (was she a woke Affirmative Action hire?) who simply could not bring herself to condemn "hate" speech. I thought going after hat speech was one of the tools in the Left's wheelhouse. I think that fits in with the OP's parenthetical comment.

This, in a way, now that I think of it, raises up another issue,

The Left claims that it is the ally, nay, the CHAMPION, of women, but whereas Brett Kavanaugh rated full-blown hysteria over insinuations and the demonstrably false testimony of one motivated ideologue, and faced with with absolute proof of the worst crimes possible against women, the Left says that Hamas deserves a proportional response and tries to turn the conversation around to how the rape of the Israeli women was the fault of Israel, otherwise known as blaming (and shaming) the victim.

So, is it now open season on Conservative women? Or maybe on all women not Dylan Mulvaney or Leah Thompson (the real woman of the American Left)?

You're on your second pot of Cafe Histrionica this morning already. LOL, what a terrified little spazoid.

Grimly amusing that the op doesn't seem to realize that Hebrews, Arabs, Aramaeans, Canaanites, (+ some other Levantines,) Tigrayans, Amhara and Akkadians are all Semitic. Mebbe it would help a bit if they recognized their common cultural heritage

Anti-semitism is one of the few things the left and right actually in common anymore.

While all criticism of Israel doesn't equal antisemitism, let's not pretend that a lot of it does.

It wasn't the left chanting "jews will not replace us."

It wasn't the left bringing nazi flags to political rallies.

It wasn't the left embracing Christian nationalism.

But please carry on, it's very entertaining.

New thoughts for the weekend.

College Presidents went to Congress lecturing us on and hiding behind Free Speech. To them, free speech is not an absolute and has to be put into context. The more subjectively oppressed that your group is, the freer your speech is as an individual. For groups deemed to be privileged, the individual’s speech must be monitored and restricted. The Twitter model.

In both cases, you can say what ever you want because free speech is an American Right and those in the oppressed groups are rewarded and praised no matter what ugly, divisive statement/slogan they utter especially when it is aimed at an oppressor whereas the oppressors must be punished for having the insensitivity to say that and hurt the feelings of the oppressed groups. It’s all so clear, just because you have a right, doesn’t mean that you don’t have a responsibility. The oppressed has the obligation to speak out, to be rude, to be confrontational and the oppressor has a similar obligation to confess, confirm and console.

The enlightened professor, the champion of the oppressed, must supersede the oppressor because there is free speech and there is offensive speech and they, the academic spokespeople of the oppressed, have been taught the tools that you they oppressor is ignorant of.

Now we have the 𝕏 model and shepherding professors and their sheep the nation over are all bleating mad that they smell musky.

Jew and Semitic could become forgotten terms as the North American continent finally drops the remnants of European culture and develops its own cultures and ethnic labels over centuries. Judaism may merge with the last holdouts of Christianity and Islam while the rest of the continent moves on to new religions. The Jewish stereotype of education and financial success disappears with the collapse of the dollar, global finance, and secondary education.
