I HAVE shoes!!! I could give Imelda a run for her money in shoes (and watches and purses and teapots, too.) I love shoes. I love to go to Nordstrom's and look at $400 pairs of shoes. I love to try them on and look in the little feet mirror at my little feet in those fabulous shoes.

But there is a point to this thread and it's not shoes.

Suppose everywhere you went you had to carry a shoebox with you that contained something unique or special or unusual to you, and you alone. Of course, considering that we are all multi-dimensional people, there well be more than one item in that shoe box. When someone would naturally ask you to show them what you are carrying, what thing(s) you would show them from your shoebox?

For me, on the first layer of my shoebox stuff would be a large, well patched and loving heart.
Mine.

Soooo.... what say you?

hmmm can i start with two things and add later?
First would be my eyes and how deeply they can see and all they can tell you about me.
Second would be my voice and its ability to softly speak strong opinions.:rose:

A picture of my children
A picture of my petlings
My very first published poem, *Life*
A tattoo gun
My silver and aquamarine pentagram
My mother's diamond engagement ring

These things are the majority of my life..my family, my tats, my poetry, my religion.

A picture of my roxy dog whom i just lost this past week after 14 years...for she has been a major part of my life and without her i might be a different person,

a picture of my family...for they have always been there for me when i needed and accept me for who i am even though they don't understand it mostly,

some of my poetry...for it shows how deeply my emotions run and how passionate i am when i believe in something,

an amethyst crystal....for my love of crystals and my love of amethyst and its healing properties,

there would be more for sure filling the box to overflowing for i have been blessed in my life with an abundance of hope and happiness even through hard times.

I am so sorry, dragonlace. The loss of a long time companion can be very difficult.
I wish you the comfort of loving memories. :rose:

My shoebox would have a picture of my grandparents and nephew. A Michael Waltrip diecast. A dry erase marker and eraser. A book (no specific one, just whatever i'm reading at the time). The piece of rope from my av.

thank you so very much, her memory with forever be with me and she will be forever in my heart:rose:

My shoebox would be filled with my personality for everyone to see how original I am, but it could also be filled with everything that the others said..... so I wouldn't bother to list what I'm going to have in my shoebox.

*If that doesn't make sense, don't bother to interrept it :rose:*

I need a bigger box.

My husband, my horse and my dog. Or maybe just the way they look at me - to show others who I really am.

I love threads like this. You say so much about who you are without

"In my opinion..."
or
"I humbly believe..."
or
"Just my 2cents..."

And yes, my children's picture would be right on top, too. They are the best part of me.

I would also have a peacock feather in there, because I am easily tickled and don't take things too seriously.

I am still thinking.... sometimes the sweetest things can't be boxed....

I like your 'stuff.'

I'd have a book or 2, also. One would be open, because that's what I basically am... an open book. ;-)

I'd also have a shirt with a pin on the sleeve in my box ... because too often that is where my heart is.
