163 Billion in unpaid taxes....I'd say that is not paying their fair share. And, since this money goes to our supporting our society, yep, that qualifies as oppression to those in society.

What do you expect? Not only can these guys afford the best accountants and tax lawyers, but they had their lobbyists jogging the elbow of every Congresscritter who had any role in writing any paragraph of the tax code.

Once you figure out companies don't pay taxes, they collect them....and CEO's aren't the corporation nor are companies revenue the CEO's personal income.... it all makes sense.

As for the tax evasion, what the fuck is the IRS doing? If they can prove tax evasion, prosecute them. If not, then stfu about tax evasion.

Playing the game and using the rules to your advantage and keep more of your wealth isn't "tax evasion" nor is it "not paying your fair share". It's just not being a fucking idiot with your money.

So long as they are playing by the rules set by congress and we all play by the same rules?? They are above board and paying their "fair share" which is whatever the tax code says it is.

If you got a problem with the tax code that is on congress, not anyone else.

Yes, it is a great example of how money and wealth creates inequity and inequality. These are the same folks who have the wealth to donate to elected officials to make sure the laws and regulations that favor them get preferential treatment and get passed into laws.

When we talk about a rigged system....this is at the crux of it.

It has nothing to do with how wealth creates inequity and inequality. It's about not being a dipshit with your earnings and instead structuring your income in a way to avoid paying as much tax on that income by using exemptions and credits available to anyone under the tax code.

If you don't know how to do that, then get off your lazy ass and learn instead of bitching about how others are smarter than you are.

They can't accept or do that... because they would have to accept some personal responsibility for their life circumstances first.

And that would risk a mental meltdown.

It's just so much easier to blame your shortcomings on rich people.

That does not apply to using your money to hire lobbyists, or influence the outcome of elections, to influence the content of the tax code.

It's an objective, demonstrable reality of every US election.

to influence the content of the tax code.

Why should those who the tax code effects, and effects most, not get their say??

What makes their citizenship and rights invalid??

Learn how to read:
"the revelations didn't point to any legal wrongdoing. Corporate giants simply took advantage of the existing system."

"The rich, however, are able to use accounting loopholes to shield their tax liabilities."

In other words, dummy. They aren't breaking any law.

just think what uses those tax dollars could be put to

great healthcare and education for all
housing for all
investments into the future of our planet in the form of renewables, action on pollutants in our air and water, and so much more

Let them have their say at the ballot box, like the rest of us.

They do... and you can spend your money supporting people you like just like they do.

They should not be able to use their money to wield political power out of proportion to their numbers.
They don't wield anymore political power than you do.

Your votes count the same.

The USA is about freedom.... life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, not equitable wealth distribution for all and environmentalism.

You're very clearly in the wrong fucking country. :D

They collect taxes on their sales and pass those collected sales taxes along to the government.
They also pay taxes on their corporate profits, which are not "collected".

Yes, you hit the nail. Corporate and special interest greed is at the heart of this discussion and the totally absurd amounts of money that go into campaigns could be used for the betterment of society.

These folks don't really care about any society or their society. Their parasites that use the laws, the tax codes, the campaign laws, supply side economics (which they all created) to then justify their own behaviors. This is a lot of things that are negative and hurt US society and it is just plain old fucked up!

But greed and greedy self interests are nothing new....it is just such a shame that it creates such inequity and inequality.

Of course they do, and you know it. Money is a political force-multiplier. It shouldn't be, but it is.
Correct...we each cast one vote
A wealthy person can " influence" many other to vote a particular way. For instance, creating a national add campaign that says, " we will build the wall and Mexico will pay for it."

A lot of votes were bought with this campaign slogan and it never happened. Lol

Awwww how dare people spend THEIR money in ways you don't like.

All that freedom just pisses you authoritarians the fuck off.... I love to see it.

Selfishness and greed is the reason for all problems in the US. It is why Republicans don't care about wearing a mask. It is why people will stop demanding Russia to straighten up their act....gas prices over $4 gallon. Inflation rates of 7%. They would rather be owned and controlled by China and Russia. Retards

AMENDMENT I

If you don't like it, amend the Constitution.
