Those Wacky Usual Suspects!

Yes alas he cares !

... and rightly so. Here lies a cold dead possum who never before had the love of a tender man ... nor woman either I suspect. Such is the stark coldness of Conservativism vs the drunken warmth of Liberalism ... excuse me while I get another Cutty Sark over ice ... there now ... that's better ... A few more o' these and I could kiss anything.

however ... let's ask ourselves in all reality ... the watchword of many strings hereabouts "What would Amicus do?

If he was in a car and drunk then he got what he deserved. Feel bad for the possom though :(

Kissing possums isn't against the law in Pa., causing a public nuisance, perhaps.

But, isn't it his right, I mean who are we to ...

Well it is unsanitary. Eeck!

Well if he was just strolling along drunk and decided to save a possum he deserves an award ;)

I doubt it though.

THIS IS PRETTY TYPICAL.

She will receive counseling for her "illness" then be back to work.

But it wasn't my fault!

I hope she doesn't say it's not her fault. From the looks of her face and the fact she was drunk on the job as a teacher, she appears to be an alcoholic, but it is not my place or anybody else's to make that judgement. If she is, and refuses to admit it and take responsibility, she can only get worse.

Counseling for her illness, and it really is an illness, won't do any good unless she accepts that responsibility and wants to make changes. I don't mean "is willing to make changes." I mean WANTS to make changes.

Being a Usual Suspect she's a victim of George W. Bush and his tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans (but not for wealthy Democrats in Congress); I imagine she used alcohol to dull the pain.

Agreed. Responsibility is key. We have too many victims in our world.

What makes you think she's not a Republican? Besides if I was in Indio, I'd drink.

JACK

The GOP is filled with Usual Suspects.

Collecting a government paycheck is how you identify them.

It was just the wrong 'possum...that's all.....

Perhaps the State Troopers were not initially clear on how just intoxicated this guy was. After all, trying to help out an injured 'possum by giving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation is indeed a noble and laudable act. However they were later to describe the critter as "long dead". Perhaps that's how they were convinced the guy was three sheets to the wind.
