My mum's got something like that in the kitchen, which she uses for measuring out ingredients. I don't think it has a hole in the middle, though.

As for what's up with the Brits, it's the English, it is. The Welsh and the Irish are quite tidy. The Scots can be a bit funny. But the English.... I'm going to have to have my wits about me the weekend after next, I can tell.
