This'll Take You Back...

Is that the Chronicals of Mars ambrosious? If so I never got a chance to read them. :-(

Edgar Rice Burroughs. Yes it is a story. Several. And I didn't get to read them until late in life. Sorry I missed it while younger.

Chronicles of Mars or Barsoom. The same thing, really.

Ambrosious

Damn. That does take me back.

:)

Tarzan. John Carter. Carson of Venus. Pellucidar. The Land That Time Forgot.
Man.
Oh, to be twelve again!!!!

Nitelight

You must mean physically...

I'm still twelve, at least where it counts.

Down there...

HAHAHAHAHA!

I remember reading a lot of Tarzan and Conan books. There was also another mars series I started to read, can't remeber the name of it though, was about a scientist that was working with matter-transportation and got sent back in time to mars. Grr There were a lot a good books I have read or saw not more than 7-8 years ago, and that I can actually read them and enjoy the stories I can't find the damn books anywhere grr

I've read all of them.

Is this the old fart thread, then?

Must be. I've read all of them too, and even have copies of most of the Mars series in paperback.

I discovered E.R.B. when my mother and the town librarian conspired against me and limited me to one OZ book and one Hardy Boys book per library visit. I had to branch out to other fantastic realms to feed my need to read.

Most people don't even know there was an Oz book, much less a series. Tik-Tok was cool. And what was the name of that egotistical cat? You know, "You may scratch my ears, but not too hard, and I'll have that piece of shrimp there."

Hehehe.

Oddly enough, I know this

Actually it didn't have a proper name. It was referred to as the Conceited Glass Cat. It had emerald eyes and a ruby heart.  It was featured in the book The Patchwork Girl of Oz. There is also another story that had Dorothy owning a little kitten named Eureka.

(note to Harold, I got answers too!) :)
