So why is China doing that?

a. it's taking advantage of the world being weakened by the pandemic, so that it can squash undeterred Taiwan's separationist dreams
b. or just reactive, Taiwan being the 'aggressor' (lobbying for it's cause and gaining international support since the "WHO didn't listen to Taiwan's CDC botch-up)
c. or because Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei are now finally having the courage to follow Philippines's example and reclaim territory in the South China Sea?
