You are dreaming. Young people don’t vote and old people don’t care about abortion rights. The Democrats are going to lose 50 seats in the House and 10 in the Senate. They will probably be a minority party for a decade maybe longer after Trump declares himself dictator in 2024.

Oh, no people are stupid. The Dems are gonna get our clocks cleaned. Its really a matter of shit could be SO much worse than its going to be because the Right is trying so hard to throw this. Which unfortunately frightens me because that means the recession they see coming is the kind they don't expect to come out of any time soon.
I think the problem hwere is that people are grossly underestimating "young" people right now. Because Young magically means middle aged right now.

I agree. I'm twenty minutes from Canada. If it were feasible, I'd move there in a minute. I can think of many nations better than the USA.

Can't happen. There's just not such elasticity in u.s. system. Republicans will likely gain about 3 seats in the House, but can lose one or two in Senate over this. Basically that will change nothing, the gridlock will continue. And probably for most of the decade.

I'll check back later when we're closer but I think we lose more than that in the house. The Senate may be a better show however as its usually a bit more stable. Hopefully Biden figures out how EOs work going forward though.
